Darn...in another 6 months I would have saved up enough money for it to pay cash, and now it is going away..

You're point 5 is really interesting. An option would be a great compromise. Although I foresee them jamming the design down our throats! haha
Yep-If offered as an option the “take” rate would show buyers interest.

One more thing. Bronco and Bronco Raptor may change Jeep's plans too. :)
nah, with the high output small displacement options that are hitting the market, it will be a surprise if Ford even continues to put out V8's. They were one of the first to claim to go full electric with their entire lineup.

Come driver your EV in northern New England during a blizzard that shuts down the highway...with you on it in your vehicle...for 8 to 12 hours. Let me know how long your battery keeps you warm and still lets you drive off the road on your own.
New England doesn't have weather forecasts? Is everyday a mystery when they leave their house? Check the weather before you leave the house, if it looks like a blizzard, maybe stay home. It ain't that hard. And BTW, there have been plenty of tests and examples of EVs lasting hours in those conditions, if they have sufficient charge, like if a gas tank has sufficient fuel.

I think Jeep planned the 392 for a short 3-year production run. With roughly 6k built per year the 392 will be a future collectible.

I remember watching Top Gear a good ten years ago where Jeremy bemoaned the eminent death of the v10 engine.
Well, you can still buy one in your supercar.

Of course large ICE engines will eventually disappear. If they could properly work out fuel cells to work with a transportable liquid, like ammonia (great storage for H2) then most people would switch tomorrow since there would only be benefits relative to ICE. Batteries suck for adventure vehicles though.

Electric cars are crazy fast and fun to drive. But until you can take extra "charge" with you, large ICE power trains won't disappear. Reduced, yes, disappear.. no.
Most folks who are dropping 70k on a Jeep likely don't give a shit about the price of gas anyhow. So, that will not be a deterrent.

If I hit the lottery then I'll buy two, one to drive with my dogs and one without my dogs!

Some people actually work outside their homes for a living and don't sit home on their computer all day.

Here’s my list for June 15

1. New Colors, who doesn’t like options?
2. 392, I want to replace my Jeep with what I had, but would consider used if it’s axed for 2023.
3. Seats, they just need to change the geometry of the seats and add electric adjustments for lumbar and thigh extension.
4. uConnect 5 with 10” Screen, it’s 2022 and after using the current MBUX system, I can say uConnect 5 seems obvious.
5. New grill, I really like the new grill but to keep the purist happy I think it should be optional for the 20th additions and then see the response to decide if it should become default going forward
6. Better interior lighting, it’s a Jeep and I know there’s not your typical roof line but if they thought through the interior lighting a bit more I would be happy on those dark camping nights
7. Break hold, i’ve always like this future it would be nice to have but not sure they would add it due to Off-roading mishaps... it would at least be cool to turn it on and off in uConnect 5
8. 360 Camera, doesn’t need to be as advanced as the high end luxury cars but would help with a vehicle this size in the city
8. 4.88 Gearing and 37s with a 1” lift over current 392s. I would love the factory warranty and not having to replace much
9. Fox 2.5 option, less likely but again factory warranty would be cool
10. Just like car manufactures stepped up with audio systems and even Ford added many more options available to the bronco I think of Jeep took advantage of at least offering more options like sliders, lighting and bumpers it would be really cool but at the same time they can barely get these things out of the factory without all these options so I don’t see that happening at least for 2023

Things I don’t care about

1. Heads up display, My new car has it and to me it’s nothing special.
2. Autonomous driving, adaptive cruise control is all I need in a jeep
3. Cooled seats, would be nice to have as an options but not necessary
4. Major refresh, I love the current JL design. I’m just looking for some new colors and the entertainment update
Honestly I’m expecting
1. 2k price increase
2. A couple new colors
3. Standard LED lights
4. New grille
5. Streamline the engine choices, maybe eliminate the 3.6

And that’s about it. The Bronco didn’t have a real negative effect on sales so why change anything.

For sure that’s highly likely. Speculation is fun though :)
