That ext probably would work well for a Tazer but I really don’t see the need installing that for the Auto Stop Eliminator.I confess I don’t really know very much about these electronics so if I’m wrong I’ll apologize in advance@Pugnacious
You really should consider buying a security gateway extension cable and have that ready to install before you fool with / install that offering.
Remember, everytime you go to the dealership you will want to remove that offering from your 2024 JL and then reattach the 2 cables at the security gateway... Anyway, you really really do not want to have to deal with/do the security gateway dance that you are having trouble with already, anymore then once.
The extension, makes thongs so much easier... and you can resell the extension easily someday for close to what you paid for it.
And for those reading this.. I suggest/strongly encourage those that want an adjunct that in essence does the ESS button push for you to go with/you buy, the SmartStopStart brand offering and not the large footprint, iffy, known to hiccup, knockoffs. I laugh at those that buy the knockoff offerings...

I should have mentioned I went with the Taser JL Mini and unlike the Auto Stop Eliminator I have to disconnect both connectors but I ask only because I was unable to disconnect even one and yes I have watched a number of YouTube videos on both the Auto Stop eliminator and the Taser JL Mini. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.Just one connector gets removed ...not two.The one connector is difficult.Tough to get your hands up in there.Did you view the video on YouTube. That may help you
Pretty obvious ..... anyone that has dealt with the security gateway connections will tell you that it is not pleasant for most people. Also, there have been guys that actually pulled the wires right out of the connector when trying to disco them. Less you fool with the actual connectors the better for a number of reasons. That ext probably would work well for a Tazer but I really don’t see the need installing that for the Auto Stop Eliminator.I confess I don’t really know very much about these electronics so if I’m wrong I’ll apologize in advance
I purchased and installed the same harness in my JLU. In doing so, I broke a rule of mine and paid for convenience. I figured that's better than potentially wearing out the non-ratcheting dashboard switch over the life of the vehicle, as I would surely be pressing it every time I started the vehicle.Today I installed my 'Auto Stop Eliminator’ and I am a happy camper!
Yep they all do. I wished it did not reset every time it starts. But I’m ok with pushing the button and not taking a chance of messing up my warrantyMine has a button on the dash for that... ?
