Yep they all do. I wished it did not reset every time it starts. But I’m ok with pushing the button and not taking a chance of messing up my warranty
Aw damn, I thought my Jeep was special.

Funny story, I have been using the Tazer for years now to eliminate the stop start "feature". Well, a few weeks ago I was low on gas and figured I would use the "feature". To my surprise stop start doesn't work in my Jeep even if I want it to. The button has been in the active position for weeks and the Jeep refuses to shut down the engine. Apparently my Jeep hates the "feature" too.
Not true, stop/start will just run off the main if you do that. You’ll still have to turn stop/start off or get some sort of module that will keep it off/remember latest settings.Kill 2 birds with one stone- disconnect the little battery. Nothing else is required.
Well my start-stop doesn't work, somebody else's might but I think you have to do some wiring tricks to make it still work. Not true, stop/start will just run off the main if you do that. I'm concerned about denied warranty claims, caused ironically by my desire to prevent premature failure.I purchased and installed the same harness in my JLU. In doing so, I broke a rule of mine and paid for convenience. I figured that's better than potentially wearing out the non-ratcheting dashboard switch over the life of the vehicle, as I would surely be pressing it every time I started the vehicle.
The word "hack" is overused these days, but in the example of ESS, there might be no better word to describe it.
I just pulled the cable off of the terminal. That was about 3 years ago, ESS has never worked since then. I looked at the posted list and none of those apply however that's a lot of individual sensor inputs to check and any one of those sensors could be bad. I never wanted ESS so I have no incentive to troubleshoot it.If ESS on a JL is not working after an Aux battery bypass or Aux battery delete, then something is a muck with the JL.
You pulled a plug and you did not have to deal with it anymore? Explain? Thanksi pulled one plug and never had to buy anything
on my jlu and im sure on others there are two hood pins that push down once the hood is closed, if you look at the forums here there are different ways to do it, but more or less you pull out one plug to one of those pins and it will disable the auto start until its plugged back inYou pulled a plug and you did not have to deal with it anymore?
