Crawl under there with a flashlight and trace it to see where it goes.
Wipe it off with a rag then check it every day or two to see where the oil leak first reappears to see what really is leaking.
2.0 turbo theoretically has more to break
I would ask what you are going to use the Jeep for and how long you want to keep it. For me the difference in miles would be significant. You have to decide if it matters to you.
My Jeep was a whole lot less than that and I don't mind the ride. I was waiting for the Bronco to see how it compared but couldn't wait any longer. Now that the Bronco is out it doesn't offer anything that I want. I can see an advantage to the Bronco for some people. If you like it better...
There are other ways to disable ESS. You can search youtube and maybe do general internet searches. I believe this do leave the ESS warning light on the dash if that matters to you. I bought a used 2018 and ESS never worked so I bypassed the little battery and never worried about it further...
It's a long way to Utah. :(
About 45k miles. I've put on 37k miles in just over 3 years, almost all highway miles. I work from home and hardly ever drive anywhere here in the city.
The resulting numbers sound reasonable though- I once owned a VW Jetta with about 90hp motor. I figure that motor would drive the Jeep around 75-80 mph.
I don't have any problem with the way it rides. I routinely do 700 mile days in mine and I've done 900 and 1000 mile days before too. You have heavy tires and a heavy axle and it's going to be a little rough over some highway bumps. If you want a smoother ride then get a Grand Cherokee. It...
I do all of my own work, at least I try to do all my own work and have been able to so far. My father owned a car repair business for over 60 years, I worked there for some amount of time and learned a lot.
I don't work on automatic transmissions and I'm limited in how much I can do to A/C...
Mine was gone before I bought it.
I did a lot of research before buying my JLU. It seemed that prices of JKs were not much lower than prices of new JL.
You can check craigslist or facebook for takeoff tires, or you can check the for sale forum here.
I bought a 2018 Sport and put Rubicon takeoff tires on it (but not wheels), I gave my takeoff tires to the tire shop for the labor to mount and balance my 5 tires. If you can find someone who took...
I bought my Jeep used, didn't come with a manual. The different manuals I've downloaded didn't tell anything about operation of the radio system. My radio does weird things, maybe it is just defective. All of the steering wheel buttons take you to satellite radio channel 1.
My daughter bought a black Grand Cherokee and we took it to Utah 9 months ago. After we got back we spent about $10 at the coin car wash then we took it to her drive through wash and ran it through twice. Then we got home and went over the outside again. I don't know how many times she has...
I don't like the dual battery but that is easy enough to bypass.
I would like to have a radio that I can operate.
And last a front suspension geometry that isn't prone to death wobble. My 1999 Grand Cherokee 4WD had suspension somewhat similar to the JLU but without death wobble.
My daughter has a friend with a 4XE and she has had some death wobble incidents recently. I was talking to my daughter and she was relaying the story. She said the friend took her Jeep to the dealer, I told her that wouldn't do any good, all they might do is replace the stabilizer. So she...
Depending on the lift and tires, suspension components will wear faster with a lift and will wear faster with heavier than stock tires. If you want the look of bigger tires and assuming you don't do significant offroading you could put on 33s and leave the rest of the suspension stock.
I have a...
