  1. Official Reveal: Jeep Concepts at 2024 Easter Jeep Safari EJS

So they have Clark Griswold's family truckster.....where are the 2 door JLs?
  2. Stellantis just fired hundreds of engineers [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I didn't know that Stellantis had any engineers to begin with considering all the issues with their products. I always figured it was the night shift janitor drawing up specifications and plans.
  3. Service 4WD - Came On But Disappeared After Engine Restarted?????

Mine only happened that one time. Hasn't happened again since so I don't know what it was. I still get an occasional code for the vapor system but I just reset and it's good for a few more months.
  4. Lessons learned - setting up a JL as a TOAD - long read

In the JL I ran a wire to a Tap A Fuse in the fuse box. I don’t remember specifically which fuse I tapped other than I found one that was still hot with the key off.
  5. 2024 Jeep Beach Editions Announced

I resemble that remark!!!!! When there's too many people around my wife complains that "it's too peoplee".
  6. What would it take to get you to trade your Wrangler for a Bronco??

If Jeep goes to an electric only Wrangler then I'll hold my nose and buy a Bronco...but only after running the wheels off the JL. Can a Wrangler last 500k miles?
  7. Fluid Film for undercarriage for rust protection?

I use Fluid Film on the exposed arms of the hydraulic cylinders on my Kubota tractor....because it's so easy to wash off. On my JL, my Silverado and wife's Subaru I have New Hampshire Oil Undercoating done. Silverado is 8 years old and looks brand new, not a spot of rust on it anywhere...
  8. We want to hear from you!

Get rid of the ESS system with the motorcycle battery. Fix the paint issues so that the paint doesn't bubble off the body. Replace the plastic oil filter housing on the 3.6 with a metal one that doesn't strip out and leak. Offer options other than the massive TV screen in the center of the...
  9. Mounted my driving lights today. Happy with the outcome.

My LED headlights are replacement insert bulbs. Alone they are much brighter than the factory halogen bulbs. But the Aux Beam driving lights blow them away. When I turn the driving lights on I get a wide, long white light that really lights up the road in front of me. You can’t beat the Aux...
  10. Best AT tires for all driving conditions

Very happy with my Falken Wildpeaks in rain, snow, mild off road and highway driving.
  11. Recommendation on rodent spray

Peppermint oil is supposed to work. I had mice getting into my motorhome and tried everything else - dryer sheets, ultrasonic noise makers, Irish Spring soap. People swear by Irish Spring soap....little ba$tards ATE the soap.
  12. Offroad tires going away? WTF! [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

My Falken Wildpeaks self identify as Michelin all season highway tires.
  13. Jeep is getting roasted on Reddit rn

I had waffles for breakfast this morning.
  14. Lessons learned - setting up a JL as a TOAD - long read

Ah, that explains it. That’s one of the primary reasons I went with the Readybrute system, it doesn’t require any power to activate the brakes.
  15. Lessons learned - setting up a JL as a TOAD - long read

The Curt harness works fine. The diodes are built into their system. The brake/taillights get their power from the RV not the Jeep battery. The only thing that draws any power from the Jeep battery is the LED third brake light. In two years of use with a lot of towed miles I’ve had zero...
  16. Lessons learned - setting up a JL as a TOAD - long read

I added the Roadmaster switch to the brake arm (explained in detail in my original post). I ran a wire from the cold side of that switch to the center pin (pin #2) on the 6 way plug under the Jeep's front bumper. I then opened up the back of the 7way plug on the hitch on the motorhome and...
  17. Lessons learned - setting up a JL as a TOAD - long read

I don’t have the factory trailer plug, I added a Curt plug harness for that too. And it does send the signal to the trailer plug.
  18. Flat-tow my 6-speed manual Wrangler - best braking system

I tow my 2020 JL behind my class C motor home. I have to keep checking the rear camera to make sure it’s still there. I use a NSA Readybrute Elite II tow bar/braking system. Tied to a Rockjock tow plate it’s the simplest system you can find. Takes me 2 minutes to hook up and half that to...
  19. What's the secret to getting the @#$&!)@!!!! lower air intake box back in the mount.

Didn’t put the rubber grommets in the holes first. But I did figure it out. The small air scoop below the air box also has a post and grommet to hold it in place. I didn’t realize it came out and was out of alignment. As soon as I figured that out this morning and pushed it back into place...
  20. Mounted my driving lights today. Happy with the outcome.

I bought a set of 4" Aux Beam lights for the front bumper. I refuse to pay Mopar the amount they want for their light brackets so I did some searching at my local home center. I found two 8.5" by 8.5" by 1.5" L brackets that are 1/4" thick. They were in the area where fencing hardware...
