I didn't know that Stellantis had any engineers to begin with considering all the issues with their products. I always figured it was the night shift janitor drawing up specifications and plans.
Mine only happened that one time. Hasn't happened again since so I don't know what it was. I still get an occasional code for the vapor system but I just reset and it's good for a few more months.
In the JL I ran a wire to a Tap A Fuse in the fuse box. I don’t remember specifically which fuse I tapped other than I found one that was still hot with the key off.
If Jeep goes to an electric only Wrangler then I'll hold my nose and buy a Bronco...but only after running the wheels off the JL. Can a Wrangler last 500k miles?
I use Fluid Film on the exposed arms of the hydraulic cylinders on my Kubota tractor....because it's so easy to wash off. On my JL, my Silverado and wife's Subaru I have New Hampshire Oil Undercoating done. Silverado is 8 years old and looks brand new, not a spot of rust on it anywhere...
Get rid of the ESS system with the motorcycle battery.
Fix the paint issues so that the paint doesn't bubble off the body.
Replace the plastic oil filter housing on the 3.6 with a metal one that doesn't strip out and leak.
Offer options other than the massive TV screen in the center of the...
My LED headlights are replacement insert bulbs. Alone they are much brighter than the factory halogen bulbs. But the Aux Beam driving lights blow them away. When I turn the driving lights on I get a wide, long white light that really lights up the road in front of me. You can’t beat the Aux...
Peppermint oil is supposed to work. I had mice getting into my motorhome and tried everything else - dryer sheets, ultrasonic noise makers, Irish Spring soap. People swear by Irish Spring soap....little ba$tards ATE the soap.
The Curt harness works fine. The diodes are built into their system. The brake/taillights get their power from the RV not the Jeep battery. The only thing that draws any power from the Jeep battery is the LED third brake light. In two years of use with a lot of towed miles I’ve had zero...
I added the Roadmaster switch to the brake arm (explained in detail in my original post). I ran a wire from the cold side of that switch to the center pin (pin #2) on the 6 way plug under the Jeep's front bumper. I then opened up the back of the 7way plug on the hitch on the motorhome and...
I tow my 2020 JL behind my class C motor home. I have to keep checking the rear camera to make sure it’s still there. I use a NSA Readybrute Elite II tow bar/braking system. Tied to a Rockjock tow plate it’s the simplest system you can find. Takes me 2 minutes to hook up and half that to...
Didn’t put the rubber grommets in the holes first. But I did figure it out. The small air scoop below the air box also has a post and grommet to hold it in place. I didn’t realize it came out and was out of alignment. As soon as I figured that out this morning and pushed it back into place...
I bought a set of 4" Aux Beam lights for the front bumper. I refuse to pay Mopar the amount they want for their light brackets so I did some searching at my local home center. I found two 8.5" by 8.5" by 1.5" L brackets that are 1/4" thick. They were in the area where fencing hardware...
