Got any buddies w/ a lift? After changing out to adjustable LCAs yesterday I'm going to start pimping folks w/ lifts for "next time", even w/ my ramps it still kinda sucks to get to 190, 150 no problem, it's that extra twist to 190 that's a bitch.
I wish!
I haven't lived in Colorado long enough yet.
I have friend's back home with lifts but that doesn't help much 2k miles away, unfortunately.

I just can't seem to get enough leverage from underneath.
Building some OSB ramps in the morning to give me more wiggle room under there.
The wheel cribs I built give me 9” extra head room. But my 24” long reach floor Jack barely made it to the point that I can slide the crib under the passenger front tire when I jacked up the axle tube. That’s why you’ll see I put the Jack on a 1/2” board. Otherwise I’ll have to use some small wood blocks which I didn’t prefer. I’ll buy a piece of 3/4” plywood later. No problem on the driver side since I jacked up the pumpkin.

My 90 teeth flex head torque wrench also helped give it more flexibility.

I just went and got the 650? ft lb Kobalt electric impact i saw a guy use on his JL in some YouTube video. It worked. I also used the factory method of tightening. Lower torque + X° where the impact helped there too.

One could always use a torque multiplier. You can find them in 3:1 and 4:1 multipliers. Would make that 190 pretty easy to hit.

Well, I found this: https://gearhead-diy.com/lift-rental/

If I can’t break bolts free today, looks like I may book a bay.
Give me all the room in the world for torque

Nice! The only place you can do that around here is on post (Ft Knox). My Dad isn’t with us anymore so and you have to be active duty or retired to use it, veteran not enough.

I always figured these places are uncommon because of liability. You’d think it would be popular. That or maybe I’m not looking well enough. I’d love to have one within even an hour away.

Hi John, I wonder if they have drive-on lifts. I believe that the suspension needs to be supporting the weight of the jeep when you're torqueing the bolts.

What you can do is torque to 150 ft lbs loaded on the ground then lift it to get better room to torque to 190, the bushings aren't going to twist once they're at 150.

And @J.Ferreira good find on the lift. I've got a buddy that works for the local electrical company that says I can use his lift If needed so I think I'll hit him up in a week or two just to verify everything.

You have nothing new there. Mine was the same. The more weight on the front, the more the front drops, the lower it sits, and the higher the caster number goes. The more lift you get the lower the caster goes. The reason Geometry Correction Brackets were invented.
Mine was the same after installing a bumper and winch. Caster went up. Then I put in 2.5” springs lost caster again. I have since put a heavier front bumper and caster has increased again. I’ll be installing MC Geometry Correction Brackets soon to dial in the front.
Do you remember what your caster was at with the 2.5” springs, mopar LCAs and before the heavy bumper? I’m debating which route to go on my XR. Thinking 3/4” spacers and Mopar LCAs if the mopar arms aren’t enough for the RK springs. Did you have to change sway bar end links or anything else with the springs? Thanks.

A 1/2 inch electric impact wrench, such as the DeWalt DCF899B zips them right off.
Oh, I have one. lmao
Didn't do it. Supposed to be like 250lb rated, but they wouldn't budge.
I don't know if it was just one too many factory ugga duggas, or if I'm just a weak bitch laying on the ground, but I'll get it figured out.
There's that shop in Colorado Springs that I'll go to to rent a bay with a lift and break everything free.

Hmmm, the one I'm talking about is 700 ft lbs, with 1200 ft lbs of breakaway torque.
