So if you take the taillight out, it should just drop down in-between frame/skin hollow area? Guess I could just. take it out and look inside. Looking from underneath could see too much.

Technically you are running the wire up not dropping it down but yes, its basically accessible as you describe. You could drop a string down and pull the wire up with the string or have a helper hold the wire while you pull it up from the tail light cavity.

I haven't used any of the spray tint before, but was considering either that or the film style: https://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vinyl-Tail-Light-Lens/dp/B005EZJ2F0

Either way, it would be easiest to see if Oracle is going to make what I want.

Plastidip even makes a tint that I was thinking about trying out that way if I don’t like it, I can peel it off.

I would imagine any tint technically compromises output. The darker it is the less output, no?

This would defeat the purpose of adding the lights. Without a doubt it will impede output..
