So they will be forced to charge when they get home, which typically coincides with peak use hours.
Heads up - May want to call your ordering dealer. Just read on FB392 page the MY23 wrangler sold orders opened today for dealers. No one is saying if 392 available or notHere’s my list for June 15
1. New Colors, who doesn’t like options?
2. 392, I want to replace my Jeep with what I had, but would consider used if it’s axed for 2023.
3. Seats, they just need to change the geometry of the seats and add electric adjustments for lumbar and thigh extension.
4. uConnect 5 with 10” Screen, it’s 2022 and after using the current MBUX system, I can say uConnect 5 seems obvious.
5. New grill, I really like the new grill but to keep the purist happy I think it should be optional for the 20th additions and then see the response to decide if it should become default going forward
6. Better interior lighting, it’s a Jeep and I know there’s not your typical roof line but if they thought through the interior lighting a bit more I would be happy on those dark camping nights
7. Break hold, i’ve always like this future it would be nice to have but not sure they would add it due to Off-roading mishaps... it would at least be cool to turn it on and off in uConnect 5
8. 360 Camera, doesn’t need to be as advanced as the high end luxury cars but would help with a vehicle this size in the city
8. 4.88 Gearing and 37s with a 1” lift over current 392s. I would love the factory warranty and not having to replace much
9. Fox 2.5 option, less likely but again factory warranty would be cool
10. Just like car manufactures stepped up with audio systems and even Ford added many more options available to the bronco I think of Jeep took advantage of at least offering more options like sliders, lighting and bumpers it would be really cool but at the same time they can barely get these things out of the factory without all these options so I don’t see that happening at least for 2023
Things I don’t care about
1. Heads up display, My new car has it and to me it’s nothing special.
2. Autonomous driving, adaptive cruise control is all I need in a jeep
3. Cooled seats, would be nice to have as an options but not necessary
4. Major refresh, I love the current JL design. I’m just looking for some new colors and the entertainment update
Read my other link posted a few posts down. It is in fact coming from Morrison.
“In the Motor Authority interview, Morrison provided a very clear picture of the future of Jeep powertrains. Morrison told Motor Authority that V8s are dead in performance Jeeps, and there are no clear plans on how to proceed with the Trackhawk nameplate.”
Here is the article dated after your article where it in fact was said.

Please read post #7 with the article linked.

I would agree except for the fact that as mentioned by another poster the 392 line is being shut down. As others have and I agree once whatever is in inventory is sold it’s gone. They’ve already shut off new orders for 22.
Clickbait , 2023 392 is 100%.
We will be getting 23 info soon then all the people who guaranteed the 392 was discontinued will disappear or start rolling out the excuses. I also believe will have it for 2024 but there’s no sense in arguing about that now we have a year for that. Let’s just focus on 2023 for now. Lol
All of the same people who have been asking for a V8 for decades will still care. Not everyone wants turbos. It's not dead now, but if they put a HO Hurricane or HO Hurricane 4xe, who's gonna care. Just the HO Hurricane is like 500/575.
True story is that it was Astley himself. There was no budget for costume. Those were just the clothes he brought to the video shoot. The real magnificent bastard is whoever picked out Rick’s outfits for that video shoot. I’ve listened to that entire song like 3 times today, blaring out of the Jeep with the Sunrider open. F*ck I’m old.
No one said it was going away this year. Look through the comments. We said after all the inventory is sold there will be no more 392. Fact remains the 392 engine line has been shut down. Once inventory is gone bye bye 392. I personally doubt you see it after this year. Stellantis isn’t going to pay for the CAFE credits like FCA used to to be in compliance. So where is all the experts at? Lol
Throughout the whole thread that’s what your argument was no 392 lol how quickly you forget. reread your comments I have them quoted above. It’s funny how you’re the only person that took offense to that comment. Because you know you’re guilty. Lol . You slammed anybody that said the 392 was not discontinued. No one said it was going away this year. Look through the comments. We said after all the inventory is sold there will be no more 392. From the very first post:No one said it was going away this year.
I guess technically you didn't say it was dead this year. So by that logic we're all dead... Everything and everyone is dead. Not unexpected but saw this article and it confirms the 392 is dead.
Tens-of-thousands of chargers and an 800 mile range? There are no gas stations on remote trails, and for the last 80 years we've been somewhere between a 200 and 300 mile range in gas Jeeps. I could count on one hand the number of times I've had to use Jerry cans out wheeling. The Rubicon trail is 18 miles, with trailheads within 30 miles of Placerville and south lake Tahoe. 100+ miles of range and charging in town would be enough. Same goes for every trail in moab. We don't need chargers in the woods. A 350-400 mile street range, that will likely cut in half under heavy rock crawling and I would gladly buy an all electric jeep like the Magneto 2.0 concept they had at Easter jeep safari. Massive torque, ridiculous performance, and free charging at home via solar. Count me in.It is all talk for right now. It will eventually happen, and the engineers are definitely working on it as they should. However, the chances of Stellantis making their self-imposed deadline is a debacle in the making that they will have a hard time recovering from. When Jeep places tens-of-thousands of EV charging stations out in the nether regions that Jeepers like to travel, and Jeep can achieve an 800 mile range while wheeling/overlanding (Gotta put in that extra milage to make up for the charging downtime.) then and only then will EV be a truly great choice for those that like to use their Jeeps for what they were originally designed for.
When the 4xe came out a few YouTubers tested them to see how far they could go on a charge when doing Jeep trails. If I remember correctly it was three miles vs ~21 on the road.Tens-of-thousands of chargers and an 800 mile range?
