When you say dialed in, what caster did you end up at? I would get a quick free check to find your stock caster number before doing anything.
To me “dialed in“ is when, steering return is proper and center, and there are no shakes, wobbles or vibration on rough roads or bumps.
No such thing as a free alignment check Around here Unless there is a known issue.

Pretty much any place with a rack should do a free check. At least I have Never found a place that did not offer it. But maybe that is just in the states? A Jeep alignment should never be more than $50 anyway since the isn’t much to adjust.
if you are used to a straight axle 4x4 then 4-4.5* caster can feel fine. for others it will be floaty and scary. There is no reason not to make sure you are over 5*. So again that is what I would ensure because it is easy to think 4.5* feels great if you are used to it.

I ordered a pair of these to go along with some takeoff Rubicon suspension I just picked up but haven't installed yet. Only $60 total for the pair with free shipping.
How do you like the mopar LCA’s w/ the rubicon suspension take off?

Depending on your lift, I say just go to Geometry Correction Brackets or adjustable control arms. The Mopar arms are not much longer than stock (yes I have them) and not long enough for a 2.5” lift. They are barely long enough for a stock XR.

I had this new to me Jeep that I hadn't spent any money on. Reading this thread inspired me to break through that barrier. I ordered the control arms from Amazon - $86.50 for both. They came to the house yesterday, and I put them on this morning. It is a simple job, but you need good tools and some muscle. The control arm bolts have a 21mm head. The nuts take a 24mm socket or wrench. The nut that holds on the brake bracket is 15mm. Torque for the control arm fasteners is supposed to be 190 ft/pounds. I think mine were much more than that. I used a 4' cheater bar on the end of my 1/2" rachet to break the nuts loose. Loosening and tightening is complicated a little by limited access because of other parts in the way. It seemed like each end took a different combination of wrenches, rachet extensions, and sockets. I had to drive the Jeep up on some homemade ramps to get enough underneath clearance to work with the tools. My new arms slipped on with with just a little mild pushing and pulling. As I fitted the arms, I left the bolts finger tight until both arms were in place. Then I bounced the front a couple of times from the bumper to let everything settle in place. The bounce is an old TJ trick. I don't know if it is necessary for the JL, but it seemed like the right thing to do. One thing I noticed is the bushing design on the new arm is differen than the old arms. My test drive took me to McDonald's for a burger and some fries. I think I'll take a nap now. :)

I tried doing this swap yesterday and I swear that first but I tried to break loose must be at 400lb. My Milwaukee impact could not budge it. Bummed because I read so many posts saying it was easy with an electric impact.

Do you have a breaker bar? That should do it

I do but with the front tires on the ground and how the nut is there isn’t room to use it. It’s right up against the axle with no room to break. I don’t then think I’d have room if I put the front up the air. It would have to be pretty high up due to the length of the breaker bar.

You could put front and rear axles on jack stands. That would give you some clearance.

Edit: Or just front to break them loose, then set it back on the ground.

No doubt. I have said it a lot. I have no idea how a normal person does this swap. I did it myself on the ground, but I will say I am different than most people. my knuckles drag on the ground when I walk and my head Is shaped like a silver back monkey, totally serious. And after all that I was sore for days. Just wait till you try to torque the new ones. If you just hammer it with an impact you are damaging the tensile strength of the bolt also.

Only way I would do it again is on ramps or a drive on lift…. I told my friend I will not help them. I can’t afford the deductible.

I had my dealer do the LCA swap for me. Ever since then, the vehicle has a slight pull to the right. Is it conceivable that something went wrong with the swap? Is this common enough to happen?

No. Might be a pull or steering wheel not centered. If a pull the dealer probably torqued on a 2 post lift not on the ground. Easier said than done, given the impactful nature of a dealer, loosen and re-torque…

I'm faster than a speeding bullet, can leap buildings in a single bound, and wear my undies outside my pants. It was hard. Lucky for me, working on my RV has caused me to build up a selection of breaker bars and heavy duty rachet stuff. Tools make the man. :)
