You can. I use the holes on the front of the diff next to the cover and the flat spot on the pinion. I shoot for 0 at those locations. Should give you 6 degrees caster or just about

I’m curious to to where I am with the 2” Mopar, and I’m going to the full 3.5” MC Rocksport in two weeks.

These two holes?

No, the part circled in green here. The surface there is machined flat and you can put an angle finder on them accurately.

Does the rear axel have a caster setting as well? Sometimes it feels like the tail is waging the dog when it comes to trying to drive straight down the road.
My front is at 4 degrees per iPhone app. Is it possible the they are just welding the bracket on the frame at the wrong location on the front?

Ah ok, I was wondering how you'd use the two holes I circled lol

Thank you!
Just in case anybody wants to know why the Dana axle has those holes , it’s for a case spreader. It has two pins that spreads the case open to change the carrier.

So I’m getting 2 very different numbers between going from the flat circles on the pumpkin vs the flat area on the knuckle. Can someone explain which area is the correct one to get a solid “home” read on caster? Thanks in advance!!

I just have an angle finder, but I'm at about 7 degrees on the knuckle and 1 at the pumpkin. Someone abo ve suggested adding 6 to the pupkin, which approximately matches what i see.

In this scenario is your caster 1, 6, or 7?
