I have 2 Jeeps so wanted a compressor I could move between the Jeeps. I have the Smittybilt and a Speedflate system. I can go from 15 to 30 PSI on all four 35's in 9-10 minutes.
I swapped the Japanese style air hose fitting to a standard American fitting.
I also put a quick disconnect on one side of the Speedflate manifold because the hoses would get tangled when shoving them back in the bag. I disconnect one hose before storing it and it no longer gets tangled.
I also added a 50A Anderson plug in the rear cargo area and put Anderson plugs in-line on the Smittybilt power cord.

That's a great idea on that jack/plug system you installed in your cargo area, I may just have to copy you! It's a lot cleaner than the distribution blocks I had surface-mounted in the back of my WK2.

Unrelated, are you the same rdfact from calguns? If so, small world! I'm CandG over there, though I haven't been on that forum much as of late.

What up my brotha from another forum.

I should have added to my earlier post. The wiring is 6 gauge ran under the carpet, under the door sills, under the dash, through the firewall to the engine bay. Then to a solenoid that is wired to my VoSwitch. Maybe I should have just gone with the Milwaukee battery powered compressor. ?

Lot of great solutions in this thread. That Milwaukee cordless looks cool. The built-ins are very attractive for their convenience.

But I am going with a portable. I can afford to wait a bit. This is what I think I need. I know some people may think it's not fast enough. But I think it strikes a balance between fast enough, cost, and portability. Some of you may have bigger compressors, but this will do for me.

The ARB is pricey, sure. I’m enjoying mine. Easy to use and easy to pack. Worth it for me

I've got two of those (had them installed in tandem in my WK2 Grand Cherokee for onboard air), and while they are quite good I have found a better solution for my new Wrangler - the Morrflate 10.6cfm dual compressor. It's not that much more money than a 2781, only slightly bigger, but puts out WAY more air, and most importantly, it has a built-in pressure switch and standard air fittings, neither of which the 2781 have unless you add them yourself for another ~$50 of parts from amazon, at which point you've paid as much as a Morrflate costs anyways.

Did you cross shop this with the Thor Lightning system? They seem almost identical tidal to me and trying to figure out if one is better over the other.

Another one for Viair! I run the 300p absolutely the best air compressor I've ever owned!
5 years now, runs like the day I bought it, no regrets!

lol! Seems like a great solution at about $435 for both the compressor and quad hose with built in guage vs ARB twin setup at close to double. think ill have to point my money to Morrflate:like:

I'm sure it's exactly the same compressor. There's only a handful of factories in China making high output 12v compressors, various companies just paint them different colors and rebadge them. Smittybilt is the same way.

Thanks for the feedback. Almost pulled thebtrigger an hour ago but remembered my AEV wheels have recessed valve stems and was concerned about their air chucks fitting so I emailed Morrflate to see what they think.

You shouldn't have to worry about those. These are my AEV recessed valve stems. Even the Epic Kraken works fine with them.

Thanks for the pic for reference Ratbert. Looks like your opening for the valve is a bit bigger then mine but think enough of the valve is showing to clip the air chuck on.

Here is another angle of my valve stem opening for reference (apologies to the OP for the tangent)

I was pissed at my Viair 440P last week and the week before and so on. The air chuck is so poorly made that the lever would not flip down, let alone clamp on the stem. Been like this since day one. I just ignored it. Finally, I remembered to do something about it. I ordered 4 Haltec air chucks, then I realized the damn Viair hose is all proprietary stuff and no way to change the air chuck without some kind of barbed hose fitting and cutting the end off.

I ended up at Harbor Fright and bought (2) 25 ft hoses and a Tee, and a 5 ft hose and all the fittings to get it to work. I now have a 2 tire hose setup.

Milwaukee M18 compressor. Here my review and test:
In another thread someone was complaining about the size. It really isn't that big. I'm going to wait and see if HD has anyone Independence Day sales and pick one up. Right now you can get it, with two of the 6.0 batteries and a charger for $300.
