The Pentosin CHF 11S is available at the chain auto stores and can be mixed in with the original...
Put me in for a GM JB for sure. Maybe on the HC. My spotter is dealing with some issue where he can't raise one of his arms. Old age thing. I can do GM and JB without him, but he's my main man for HC. I was just about to re-install the fenders after some work, but this trip is a reason to...
Adjusted the Apex power steering boost kit to 2000 psi and topped off the res.
Put the final pieces on the engine after a oil filter housing change and drove it.
Changed the oil 3 times today driving a total of 60 miles, to flush the coolant out that contaminated the oil from a bad cooler...
I dunno. I'm just not convinced it's all about the rollers themselves. This stuff is old hat. Even flat tappet V8s with big valves and heavy valvetrain and super heavy springs didn't have this much of a problem. Let alone roller lifter big engines with heavy springs. These tiny 4 valve...
After looking at the Metalcloak design cutaway, I prefer their design over the Dynatrac balljoints that I currently have. But, unfortunately, they came out about a year after I replaced mine with the Dynatrac balljoints. But, if I had to buy balljoints today, I'd go with the MC. Metalcloak...
Looks like they have more purchase for the vicegrips than the OEM nuts. If the thief resorts to vicegrips, he's not going to give a rats ass about the side panels of you Jeep. I'd just put some blue loctite on the OEM nuts and be done. That'll slow him down. A thief hates slow.
It's not the recluse I'm worried about. We have them and BW spiders here. It's the giant Wabujitsu spider. I can't even imagine what I'd do if one of them crawled up my neck and sat on my head while driving. But it'd be in the papers...Florida man in jeep....
👍 Speedy. I took over 3 weeks. But, I also put in a Mishi radiator and trans cooler, 850w fan, steering boost kit and cooler. Still, I'm slow these days.
Finished putting the essentials together on the engine after a oil filter housing/cooler change and a bunch of mods and 3 weeks of being down. Fired it up. Added coolant and pwr steering fluid (mods to these systems). Good oil pressure and temps.
Many decades ago, I had a flea infestation in my sheep skin seat cover. Girlfriend put a flea bomb in it sized for a small house. That crap was dripping from everything. But, no fleas no more. 🤣
I'm looking at one of the Champion plugs (2018 OEM) I removed and it appears to be a zinc coating. Silver (Ag) has a different look. Zinc makes sense for aluminum heads.
A little perspective; the spark plug thread in my 3.6L is 12mm dia x about 1 inch long. There is not a chance that the threads could be stripped with torque under 100 lbs/ft. The shoulder of the plug where it seats to the head will provide the conductivity.
