Overpriced to some, yes. Keep in mind the napa unit has I think a 10min duty cycle vs 100% for the arb. More than enough to air up your jeep but, a very large unit that gets HOT, something to keep in mind when packing up afterwards. I know this as I have one.

Does it auto shut off after 10 mins? You’re right it does get hot.

ARB is the best compressor.

And to deflate tyres the best the "ARB Digital tyre inflator". In spite of being name "inflator" it is the best tool for deflation and the best tool for deflation and the best too to check your tyre pressure.

Looking to purchase a portable air compressor. Not really wanting to debate the benefits of an on board system . I prefer a portable . Looking to buy the best quality I can , Any experience with them good, bad is greatly appreciated.
This one has worked perfectly for me for almost 5 years (https://amzn.to/3zq3iUm). Great specs. Airs up relatively fast, runs quite & smooth, and very low maintenance. I also went with VIAIR on my OBA setup (https://amzn.to/3bLmTmk). Great compressors.

I am also a VIAIR owner and can confidently say it's a great compressor.

I've had mine four years now and it replaced a prior VIAIR unit that had been used often for over 10 years. And I mean often. There was always a kids bike tire, pool toy, and other inflatables to air up in addition to vehicle tires at my place. It really got used and, finally, it totally died one day.

I didn't hesitate to replace it with another VIAIR compressor.

Good luck with your choice.

I know you said "Compressor" but have you considered the PowerTank route? I left the compressor world and went full-on PowerTank and love it.

I sell VIAIR and they're awesome. Just came out with a dual compressor kit that makes the ARB kit obsolete.

ARB is a great kit for air lockers. That was the original intent.

I have the MORRFlate compressor and 4 hose/gauge setup. It works great inflating and deflating 35's pretty quick. I use it in both jeeps. It is nice to equalize all tires the same pressure.

I have 2 Jeeps so wanted a compressor I could move between the Jeeps. I have the Smittybilt and a Speedflate system. I can go from 15 to 30 PSI on all four 35's in 9-10 minutes.
I swapped the Japanese style air hose fitting to a standard American fitting.
I also put a quick disconnect on one side of the Speedflate manifold because the hoses would get tangled when shoving them back in the bag. I disconnect one hose before storing it and it no longer gets tangled.
I also added a 50A Anderson plug in the rear cargo area and put Anderson plugs in-line on the Smittybilt power cord.

Got a link to that? Might be a hell of a seller if it’s as small as the ARB dual compressor.

for sure. Viair VMS

I got a few advance kits (I think theyre being released this week). Working on installs for a F250 with 42's, A Gladiator with 37's, and a GMC Sierra HD with stock all terrains. My JL already has a 485c gen2 dual compressor system.

The Viair 440 worked great but I have switched to the Power Tank now.

I used this one for a little over 5 years and still carry it as a backup.

I have this one. So far it has worked well. What I don't like about it is:
The size. It is quite large. (Insert "that's what she said" joke here), and
The proprietary fitting on the air hose. If one of the hoses got damaged, then you would have to take it to a hose shop to get a standard fitting.
