7th pic down, that's so awesome, your parked next to Shauno's Dirty 30! Was that by chance? Must have been cool to chat with him and the other Aussies.
How do you like the long arms?
Separately love your kit, have the compressor and quad hose system.
Should have elaborated on my original post with what I meant by a good recovery kit.
Mine includes multiple soft shackles, a tree saver, winch line extension, a couple kinetic recovery ropes and a couple metal shackles, pair of gloves plus the aforementioned snatch block.
My theme is to...
That should be more then enough. Get a good recovery kit that has a snatch block or retention pulley in case you need to double up on a line pull.
I ordered my 392 with the factory 8k warn winch and more then comfortable to wheel with this rating even it weighs 5400lbs over at AOAA, Rausch...
Awesome build and trip pics!
On the rocksport blacks, can you share what settings you used around town, in the highway and offroading?
I'm looking to do a 3.5 GC long arm with the RS blacks on my JLUR. tks!
Did that 2 door feel tipy on hellsgate?:surprised:
This.
I have the morrflate system and it's simply awesome. Super easy to deflate with the air chucks and really fast to inflate with the the twin compressors 35 and 37inch tires.
I personally prefer to have a mobile system that I can transfer if needed to mybother vehicles but this is a...
about every 3 months I unspool the line and hook up to an anchor point to run the winch. figure it can't hurt to run the motor and circulate the lube when the gears rotate.
playing around I tried the wireless, there is a discernable delay when hitting either in or out and the winch reacting vs...
Yes, Warn wireless remote model 90287.
I have it and keep it as a back up incase a racoon jumps on my car and chews my wired remote while doing a recovery.
it's not as precise and there is a slight delay in activation compared to the wired remote when hitting either the in or out switch but...
I live in NJ which is a carb state as well. I ordered from Koons got a great price and this came home with me 6 weeks ago:
Process was simple and painless.
hope that helps
100% agree.
I cycle through the t/c, lockers and even swaybar connect on my rubi around 1x/week on my driveway to keep the mechanical bits moving.
I especially do this just before an offroad trip.
Call me nuts, but also cycle the winch once every few months to have the oil/grease move around...
I am personally not worried about the MP3022 or the CV axles on my 392.
Think part of the problem is forgetting to take it out of 4 auto when hitting the dirt which causes the clutches to slip and wear prematurely. As soon as I hit dirt I'll hit 4 hi or low depending on circumstances.
If I...
I echo this.
Same exact steps and excellent service with Brian.
Picked up my 392 back in Janaury and got my permanent tags mailed directly to me.
I couldn't even order a 392 at the local dealers near me.
First mod already done, end caps deleted
Nice.
I had Tom Woods on my 2021 before I sold it and they are nice pieces. But I hear you on going with MCs option for convenience.
On my 2021 I had 37s and 4.88 gearing which worked well, but it was a stickshift.
Think 4.56 should work just fine with those 37s with the 8-speed.
That's...
Awesome! Can't wait to see the results. Look forward to what you think of the rocksport blacks.
Are you installing a new front driveshaft at the same time?
Regearing?
