Regarding crawl ratios: while a clutch can be slipped to achieve higher (slower) crawl ratios at the expense of clutch wear, the torque converter is designed to allow typically around 2.5:1 reduction ratio in addition to transmission/transfer case/differential. Even though the manual drivetrain claims a higher crawl ratio, it's not factoring in everything from the engine back.

With the 2 1/2 lift, why not run bigger tires to smooth out? Or drop back to factory suspension if not? My JLR stock suspension with wide Nitto 12.50s is a pleasant off rode setup, plush.
PS Rarely do I ever run 3rd with 4.88s.

I would love to run 37s but I only have the M210 axle out front. Not that I couldn’t do it, it’s the I shouldn’t do it that makes me pause. Sounds like it could get more expensive than the benefits would justify?

Seriously. Come on man.

When it's zip-tied to the frame and I'm covered in mud and blood, swearing like a sailor, it damn well better be disconnected.
Sorry, in my experience it's incredibly rare to see someone manually disabling their sway bars.

m210 is fine with 37s many wheel with them on it. I’d go so far to say the m186 is fine with 37s too, don’t see many sport owners on here talking about broken axle shafts wheeling on 37s.

What are the chances you have E rated tires?

I have a screwed up neck and have to be super careful when wheeling or the movement induces nausea causing pain levels. What I do is I pivot off my hips to counter vehicle movement and this keeps my upper torso and head pretty dang steady. Keeping speeds low in harsh terrain helps in conjunction.

My wife gets serious motion sickness and she does this riding shotgun with great results. She does grab the Jesus handle to stabilize herself.

Go slower. If you want to get somewhere in a hurry, stay on the pavement.

Select your speed with your gears, not the throttle. If you pick the right gear you won't need any throttle input most of the time, so you won't be jerky with it. Large majority of the time the engine is just at idle.

At least, that's what I did with my manual TJ. My JL is auto.

A C rated tire would be much more comfortable.

Thanks all for the advice. My last trip out I lowered my pressure to 11-12 psi, crawled most obstacles in idle as much as I could down to 5-600rpm and kept my back off the seat as much as possible when it got rough. Big difference in the Jeeps response and my comfort. Thanks again!

My friend and I both have back issues, his worse than mine. We go very slow in the rock gardens to not only protect the Jeep but also ourselves.

Speed, as many have said, is the main issue. You should be going down the back side of the rocks as slowly as you go up the front side. And that means really slow.

If you find yourself stalling, learn to use the handbrake while you manipulate the clutch/throttle with your feet. It's how I learned to crawl with mt's and much worse ratios than todays jeeps have.

And that whipping action is not limited to rock gardens. There are several trails around here that have been worn in by high speed SxS's, creating deep, long, out of phase washboards (left goes down as right goes up) so bad that even aired down and disconnected 4 or 5 mph is all you can do before the oscillations become unbearable.

But, it's not a race. The whole point is to enjoy your time in the wild. Take it slow, relax and revel in the beauty of the amazing back country we're fortunate to still have.

I'm also going to suggest a less expensive option to the antirock sway bars.
$450 will get you the Apex autolynx disconnects. You lose no on road stiffness, get full articulation off road, and are easy to install/use.
