That poor Wrangler :crying:

I do recommend the MetalCloak DuroSpring bump stops. My rig was always in the factory bumps and when I do contact these, it is less of a jolt.

you should not have bought a Rubicon X with 35s
Agreed. This option will avoid costs, preserve your factory warranty, avoid unintended consequences, while at the same time - accomplishing your goal to lower the height of your Jeep.

Honestly confused why he didn’t get a ranger raptor or f150 raptor for his use cases.
Everybody has their individual preferences. I see Wranglers from Sports to 392XRs all around town, many in affluent areas. Some are driven by young ladies and some are driven by old farts and every type in between. Most of them will never see a dirt parking lot, let alone a rock crawling trail. They own a Wrangler because they like the image of ruggedness, the boxy volume, the tight maneuverability or some other impression they have of a Jeep. If it wasn't for these people using them as street (only) vehicles, the cost of a Jeep would be astronomically higher.

Sell it and get a Porsche 911 Dakar lol

Or just like any smaller truck or cross over - they'll be able to handle the beach driving. A bronco sport can handle much of what people with jeeps off road on

My bone stock Nissan Titan handled the Outer Banks sand driving perfectly fine when I took it.
You don't need a wrangler just to drive on a flat beach like the OBX - there's all kinds of Subarus and Rangers and stuff like that out there

Before you start lowering it, I would start with a beefier rear sway bar and some stiffer springs/shocks. A lot of people have recommended Bilstein 5100s for the highway manners. The only issue with stiffer springs is you could end up with even more height depending on the spring.

Just keep it the height it is and get stiffer springs. My rubicon had a lot of sway on windy mountain roads, made me noxious at times. The factory springs seemed pretty soft and with a roof top tent, it felt even worse . The AEV dual sport lift I installed had much stiffer springs, yet wasn't harsh off road. On road it was Huge difference on turns.

You don't have to lower it to get a stiffer road ride and like others said that will potentially cause other issues, including ridicule. ?

The stiffer springs will also help with towing, as i don't get the sag I did with the factory coils.

When you're done, maybe you can help me lift my Mazda Miata and put a tow hitch on it, I need to tow my boat and fifth wheel camper.

After that, can we put some wheels on my boat so I can drive it on the street, take the wings off my airplane and use it as a boat, and then I'd like to enter my F-350 pickup truck to race an F1 race.

I kid, it's your Jeep and your money, do with it as you wish!

To the OP, its your vehicle and you can do what ever you want with it. Leave it stock, lift it, drop it, change tires, change sways. Bottom line is make it yours

Would be nice if there could be height-adjustable capability like the Ram1500‘s air suspension, but without limiting the articulation.

FOX hydraulic bump stops
Swap in a standard JLU Rubicon springs, or a softer rate 1" coil springs like Synergy 1"

That will ensure bottoming out. OP should go stiffer when reducing bump travel.

Yeah with that weight lower rate will bottom out faster.. my bad
So if not going with stock springs from another trim
consider swapping in 1.5" coils from Clayton - those are 160lb/in front and 188lb/in rear
