well who wouldn't want 35's ! but jeep designed 9inches of clearance from the top of the rear tire to the inner plastic fender liner and 7 inches of clearance in the front. Probably a boon to hard core folks but way overkill for me. they could have fit the 35's with 2 inches lower suspension easily. I am very happy with the vehicle - just looking to lower the center of gravity a bit for a slight handling improvement, otherwise it is the best jeep I have ever owned since my first new one in 1987.
I expect a few more changes other than straight spring swap, but I might first try adding a rear sway bar as suggest in a comment below.
Would a standard Rubicon with 35s added later not have fit your needs? They'll fit without a lift and it seems like that would have been what you really wanted.

Add more weight to lower. Winch, skids, good bumpers and sliders. For stability widen the track.

Someone that plans on lowering their jeep and towing with it? Like cmon man you gotta know this is a ridiculous thing you are doing right?

Blasphemy.

This is almost as bad as being able to delete your Weiner, but not your catalytic converter.

Enjoy your Jeep however you have to. My opinions are mine, and generally frowned upon, albeit much less than lowering a Jeep. ?

You bought the wrong vehicle.
You don't need 35s or lockers for flat sand. I've seen plenty of Ford Escapes and Toyota Rav4s drive across the sand on bald street tires. The best thing for sand is getting your vehicle weight down.

Every Jeep ever sucks at handling. Corner speed is shit and lowering won't fix that.
Jeeps aren't the best at towing. A small trailer? Sure. But a Ranger is going to walk circles around the Jeep pulling a trailer.

Sell the Wrangler for a Ranger or other midsized truck. If you really want the Wrangler, accept its going to suck at some things. Maybe swap the Rubicon X for a Sahara.

The Hellwig rear anti sway bar should improve your highway driving without lowering. If your JL is very new, after a year or so it should be settled and result maybe 1/2 to 1” height loss.

Honestly?

Change tires first to some performance ones. When aired down, that will help maximize surface area between tire and sand. Plus, you’ll have better road handling for standard driving.

Like others mentioned, simply lowering the vehicle, without accounting for other geometry changes, will likely make the ride worse.

but hey, your Jeep, your money. At the end of the day, do whatever makes you happy.

Don't judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree. That applies heavily to Jeeps.
However...
If you're looking for something to climb a tree, don't hire a fish even if it can climb a tree.

Your goal is to use a Jeep for what it does the worst. No matter how much money you sink into it, it will always be sub-par for that use case. My suggestion would be either to live with it as-is (at zero cost) or get a different vehicle that's designed for what you want to do out of the factory. Otherwise you'll just be chasing rainbows.

BTW, I don't mean this as hate mail. I'm just talking realistically.
