So, my 2021 JLUR Diesel has 17,000 miles on it running 35s, I'm planning on replacing the ball joints BEFORE it's a problem, sooo...

I don't know too much about ball joints, but many told me metalcloak baller ball joints are pretty good.

I went with the Dynatrac at 18K miles. Also, before they became a problem. I do appreciate the rebuildable feature. Don’t know if the MC are rebuildable?

I recommend Dynatracs based on personal experiences….. MC makes great products and I’m sure their ball joints are no exception, but I try to only recommend products I have personal experience with…

Dynatracs are rebuildable but the icing on the cake is they’re rebuildable in place. You don’t have to remove and replace to rebuild them….but you shouldn’t need to that often, which will reduce wear on the aluminum knuckles from removing and replacing….

I believe there is a slight error in your reasoning, the ball joints press into the steel inner C and the taper is seated in the aluminum knuckle and has to be removed to rebuild the ball joint. You are still removing and installing the knuckles.

Just fyi the MC Baller Joints are ā€œin Jeep rebuildableā€ as well. I have no experience with either brand, but at 43k miles on 37s I’m about to find out sooner than later šŸ˜‚

Yeah, I haven’t heard anything bad about the MCs, the only complaint I’ve heard so far is some shops scratching them up during install..

They’re very pretty that’s for sure. Isn’t that the reason we buy Jeep parts anyways? šŸ˜

The pretty red caps might be that extra $150 in price.

Dynatracs are on sale right now at Northridge (~$550), along with 20% off a lot of other stuff and you get a $150 gift card if you spend $1500 or more. A set of Reid knuckles, Dynatrac ball joints and a few other small items might currently be on their way to me right now! Total was $1500.19, couldn't have done better than that! Now I'll just have to decide what to spend the gift card and all the rewards points I've accrued on, lol.
