Just want to give a shout out for these! I am running 17 x 40” Pats and knew I need to upgrade the front end. The Jeep drove fine for having 40” balloons so I didn’t suspect the ball joints were a problem as they passed our inspections. I wanted to install the Reid knuckles and knew it was the best time to replace the ball joints. We just drove our Sunday ritual drive 30 miles down I-4 to Universal City Walk and I’m blown away at how tight the steering is and I didn’t even realize I had bump steer until today when I drove one handed 75-85! I can’t praise these enough! If you are on the fence, get off of it and install some Dynatracs!

They are the bomb…..to bad you painted them, you just cost yourself the 50 extra HP, and 20% extra articulation that comes standard with the orange powder coat…….?

It’s all good. I will just tweak the tune a little and roll a little more coal to make up the power difference ??. That orange just totally clashed with her black with red accents! Have to keep her looking good for wife’s trips to the malls ??

But in all seriousness, I think the knuckles and ball joints have made the most noticeable difference so far! Can’t wait to get the RPM stuff and new FK Heims for the ram! I hate a noisy suspension when it’s being used!

Did you do these yourself? The hard work pay’s off. I just did mine 3 weekends ago. And it drives like a new stock rig.

Lol !! Yeah, I get it….. her rig’s looking great though!!……Noisy suspension do sucks, I don’t mind it as much as long as I know what it is, but that noise that’s unrecognizable or can’t be pinpointed drives me nuts……?

Do you think I will have any clearance issues with my assist ram due to the size of the RPM linkage? It looks like the drag link is straight where my face one has a curve and misses the ram. It sure looks like it’s going to be close!

It depends on how much of a bend is in the ends…all aluminum bars are straight that I know of for strength, but the ends very in configuration….,. This is where I ran into trouble with my RK linkages.

The end has a very slight bend in it and I had to fabricate a bracket to get my stabilizer to work…. These bars are designed to be used with stabilizer in factory location or a drag link flip……

I didn’t want either one of those options so I turned a MC stabilizer bracket upside down and cut it up to work with my stabilizer. It’s working great, and RK is now working on a new bracket that bolts in the factory location but raised up……

I’m happy with the way mine turned out……you can see how little of a bend in mine, yours will likely have a bigger bend there….

Just wanted to ask to see if this is normal...just got Dynatrac ball joints installed a few weeks ago and noticed this afternoon that the castle nuts have loosened a little bit and it doesn't look like the ball joints are seated all the way. I don't have any experience with ball joints so I just want to know if this is normal or not. See pics.

Just wanted to follow up with a few more pics. After thinking about the obvious...I'm sure the bolt didn't back off because of the pin but please take a look at the pics and tell me if these look to be installed correctly. Any help is much appreciated!

They are not seated deep enough in the knuckle. Granted I have Mojave steel knuckles, but the black rubber boot on mine is touching the knuckle and no part of the ball joint spindle is showing.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll call the shop that did the install and ask them about it ?
