Hi everyone........:jk:

My JLUR was stock only a few days.

990965B7-BC86-4DDC-B899-A75CBFC67640.jpeg

My goal ,now that I’m a little on the older side , was to build a kinda hybrid type rig. I wanted all the creature comforts and also wanted it to be very capable off road. So I bought the fully loaded Rubi, the only thing it doesn’t have is proximity locks. I combined that with the Rock Krawler XFactor 3.5” lift with Fox 2.5 DSC resi shocks.

F508EC21-0638-434E-9651-F003B9CE7B34.png

One of the first things I did was to hack the lockers. When running the sugar sand trails in 4H, I couldn’t stand the constant bogging down from the BLD trying to do its thing. So I got the Mopar wiring harnesses and I ran them to my aux switches 3 & 4.

1EDFE27D-6A49-4FE1-8B2D-061D97BAC771.jpeg

Now I can engage rear lockers in 2wd , which that alone will get you through quite a few places, can engage front and rear in 4H , and also can engage front alone in 4H and 4L .

The tazer will let me do this as well, and I use it for most wheeling trips, but if we’re gonna be running trails at speed, I’ll plug in the aux switches, because it’s quicker to respond, as it doesn’t have to argue with the computer, lol.

This what I’ve done so far:

- RK XFactor no limits 3.5” lift
- Fox 2.5 DSC resi shocks for 4.5”- 6” lift.
- steersmarts drag link
- synergy tie rod
- Fox ATS steering stabilizer

This is my little buddy, Colby. She is a little Tomboy that has a mentality of a dog. Strangest cat I’ve ever seen, she’s obsessed with the Rubi. Always on it , in it , and hanging out with me while working on it. Some of you already know her. Just wanted to give a little background, as you’ll often see her in some of the upcoming pics.

Kinda...lol. It’s my buddy’s, he’s a master tech at GM dealership. I can use it anytime. I do most things in my garage but some of the time consuming stuff I’ll run over to his place and work standing up, lol.

Sorry, no exotic places, but the wife and I are still working and we own our own business without any employees so almost impossible to get away right now. Hopefully we can slow down soon......:whew:

Here’s some suspension shots:

Here’s the lcas , you can see how well the krawler joint works, the control arm doesn’t move, twist or bind.

Here’s the no limits sway bar links. You can see how much they misalign.
CF0BB87D-8AA1-4791-8C4F-AE9C95675CD6.jpeg

I had to lengthen them a half inch because they were getting to straightened out at full droop.

After I lengthened them...

I wondered how good the elect sway disco worked compared to unhooking them. I don’t know what I expected but I was surprised there’s only maybe a quarter inch difference:

These are a few things I had to address running long travel shocks:

At full extension the shock was hitting the frame.
49D5BF9F-4BB5-46BF-AC04-F03D718BD478.jpeg

For this I got some evo shock outboard relo brackets.
CE7FA99D-A8F4-4529-A6EC-8487C6BD0C44.jpeg
2ECF3DF1-8AE8-4217-83DC-E10CA361553B.jpeg

they also double as a skid.

Had to relocate brake line, but I didn’t have to lengthen them. For this I got the Teraflex brake line relocation bracket.
5B65635A-8B3E-4A03-82D8-83DD46ED4D51.jpeg

Also had to free up locker harness, and FAD wiring harness. Just unhooked them from a couple zip ties holding them to the frame.

The driveshafts were another place of interest... the rear driveshaft gets real close but doesn’t hit the gas tank, but the front driveshaft does contact the exhaust, however it’s not that bad, and isn’t hurting anything, but I’ll keep an eye on it.
