You should add metal cloak to the list!

I have had the teraflex and they were great. However, with the RCV's I had, greasing was difficult. In the future, I would go with the Metalcloak because they are rebuildable IN PLACE. I know the Dynatrac ones are rebuildable, but not in place.

The Dynatrac balljoints are definitely rebuildable in place.

I have TeraFlex and very pleased with them for the 500 miles they've been in lol, but wouldn't argue with anyone if they said Dynatracs are better.

Voting TeraFlex since that's what I have.

I am looking at replacing my ball joints and am curious what others are using or what the general thought is on these brands.
Definitely Dynatracs , they’re the shit….. .rebuildable in place and you can rebuild all four for 150.00 ish…….Metal Cloak bjs look impressive, but I’m waiting for them to get some miles on them before I jump in their camp…..

Dynatracs are rebuildable in place, they mention so in the details on their rebuild kit: Rebuild kit for Dynatrac HD Balljoints™ for Jeep Wrangler JL and Jeep Gladiator JT

I had Dynatracs in my JK and I've got them now in my JL. They're stupid expensive, but they're one of the best ball joints you can put in a Jeep IMO.

That said, I wouldn't feel underequipped running the other types of joints, I just like that Dynatrac joints are basically heim joints top and bottom and don't rely on a ball stud against a bearing surface for either joint. I think that design is better.

Dana, Teraflex, and Synergy are in one price category ($250ish) and they are not rebuildable. Putting them next to Dynatrac and Metalcloak ($700-$800), its not a fair comparison.

You get what you pay for. But again, do you want to invest $700-800 balljoints on an axle housing that worth less than $2000? I am not arguing if you should or should not pay that kind of money.. its just something to think about based on how you use/wheel your Jeep.

You have to take into account the labour involved in replacing the non servicible ones vs rebuilding in place as well. Makes that pill a bit easier to swallow.

Absolutely!
That's why I said consider how you use/wheel your Jeep. If you wheel hardcore and have big heavy tires with crazy offset rims, rebuildable ones are no brainer.

Just did Dynatrac’s last weekend on my Jeep. Ball joints are a PITA, so why go cheap and then regret it when they wear out.
