Mine was mounted on thr roofrack. Drilled a hole for the cables to pass through, used a marine thing so water doesn't pass through.
Then its hooked up to an ecoflow.
Yeah I've used hotshots before the archoil. I just started archoil, so I'll try to see if there's any difference. If not, I'll go back to hotshots.
I will say, the archoil bottle is much easier to use. Archoil claims it has a higher cetane rating than hotshots.
My JKUR was rear ended and totalled.
So I wanted a JL, since I love the 8 speed auto.
Found a green wrangler with tan leather seats, when I test drove it, it was obviously different, having the 3.0 turbo diesel (salesman didn't know about jeeps, it was a hyundai dealership lol).
The torque was...
Oh nice. They're not very well known, but their quality is top notch.
I'll probably be getting the awning mount.
Luckily I got my roofrack when they were having a sale.
I loved my JKUR, but JLs have the ecodiesel. By far my favorite engine for the wrangler. Unfortunately no 6 speed manual for them, or 2 doors. Still worth it.
Oh wow, that's awesome.
I was planning to keep my JKUR forever as well, but got rear ended and bought a JLURD.
Was planning solar on that one as well.
But so far I'm loving this setup.
Ecoflow river 2 max
Renogy 100w
Alipcool 35qt.
I have the smaller side set at freeze and bigger compartment...
Couldn't figure out a way to get the solar cables into the jeep.
My hardtop is really scratched up anyways, hit a tree and it exposed a little fiberglass.
I have no plans on reselling my jeep.
More upgrades.
Roofrack was smashed by a tree branch, so replaced it with a Rival half rack, mounted a 100w renogy panel, added amber chase lights.
Replaced the bumper mounted light bar with 2 morimoto big bangers, combo amber, and added pillar lights, morimoto 4banger combo white.
Added a cargo...
Finished up the wiring, and drilling into hardtop.
I love the fact it makes no noise, went to 75 mph on the highway and it was silent.
50w isn't bad for 5pm. The fridge doesn't draw too much. I'll be keeping an eye on it, but not worried a bit. I bring a 220 watt when I camp.
Installed a 100w renogy on my roofrack. Will be wired to an ecoflow river 2 max, which will power an alpicool fridge.
I think it looks fairly clean, let's hope it won't create more wind noise.
I was curious about this.
I don't want to do full skids (price and weight), but just the skids that I think I need most.
I seem to hit cross members the most, I don't often rock crawl where I could fall on boulders, but more trails where I bottom out on large flat rock/dirt.
I had my 3.5" metalcloak game changer with front driveshaft and 8 adjustable arms installed for 600, alignment included. Took 2 days.
Last year, socal.
Ordered the steering fluid for electeic steering, mopar.
I can hear noise when moving the steering wheel. Is my steering failing? Or just needs more fluid, it's at the MIN level.
