You should base bump stop length off of the shock's compressed length, not the ride height. They are listed as long enough for 2-4.5 inches of lift, hopefully I'll be alright.

Not at this time. That looks awesome. Any plans to upgrade the front driveshaft?
The stock XR front bump stops were longer than what was supplied with the Teraflex kit which I assume is made for the shorter jounce tube models. You should base bump stop length off of the shock's compressed length, not the ride height.
They almost definitely sized the bump stops for non-XR JL, but you should still figure out if your shock will bottom out.The stock XR front bump stops were longer than what was supplied with the Teraflex kit which I assume is made for the shorter jounce tube models.
It's this one, correct? If so this kit does not include shocks. How would I go about doing that? I assumed since it was all sold as a kit that would have been sorted by the manufacturer which produced both the lift and shocks.
Yes that's the one. They say:It's this one, correct? If so this kit does not include shocks.
With stock bump stops, the XR can run a shock as short as 17.625". If your shocks are 17.9" like other Falcon 2" lift shocks I've seen, you should consider installing a 0.5" - 1" bump stop extension with stock uppers. Or confirm the length of the Taraflex bump stops and make up the difference with lower extensions.
I can't find specs on those, but in the notes they say:Yes that's the one. They say:
"Requires longer shocks (NOT INCLUDED) – Falcon Performance Shocks recommended."
These are the shocks they sold me with the lift.

Thanks for the info. I’m just gonna wheel it till it breaks. It’s not worth worrying about at this point.I can't find specs on those, but in the notes they say:
I'm not sure why they say it won't fit 392/diesel/4xe... doesn't make any sense to me.
- Does NOT fit EcoDiesel / 4xe / Rubicon 392 models. (which is same as XR)
- Upgradeable to 3.5 aDAPT or 3.5 e-Adjust or 3.3 Fast Adjust via Cartridge Upgrade Kits for quick compression adjustments. Sold separately — contact customer service for details.
- Bump stop configuration varies depending on shock absorber collapsed length, tire size, and fenders — See instructions for proper configuration for your application.
- May require 2” Bump Stop Strike Pad Extension Kit (# 1959500) and/or 0.5” Bump Stop Strike Pad Shim Kit(s) (# 1959300).
Might want to contact Taraflex or do some measuring. Or flex it out and see if there's any shock shaft showing.
Tie a rubber band or String around the middle of shock shaft next time you are out. If it ends up next to the top when you are done, you need more bump. Otherwise you are good. How would I go about doing that? I assumed since it was all sold as a kit that would have been sorted by the manufacturer which produced both the lift and shocks.
Only if I hit hard at speed. Springs seem to be stiff enough otherwise. Also only had it a week, haven't done anything requiring real flex yetYou don't have any bump stop issues wheeling?
Worked for me almost 100% caster sits at 5.5 degrees with Mopar LCA's and spacer lift. 0.75 rear and 1.5" front.. So any proper lift will probably need a tad more than the LCAs will give. (I have winch and metal bumper, so net about 0.75 lift only over XR)What if you use the Mopar lift kit LCA's?
Curious what springs yours came with. I picked up my XR Rubi a few days ago. It has the steel bumper group and the tow package. Bump stop clearance is about 1.75 inches. Front springs are part number 0191AB.I ordered the steel bumpers, and there is only about 1/2-inch between my bump stop and the pad. No accessories added.
I would love to know this as well, i just ordered a 2023 XR rubicon and wanted to research ways to increase uptravel. I was hoping they actually changed something for 2023..Curious what springs yours came with. I picked up my XR Rubi a few days ago. It has the steel bumper group and the tow package. The only reason you need to increase up travel is if you put on flat fenders. Again the reason for the bumpstops is to protect your factory fenders from tires ripping them off. The XR is factory bumpstopped for 37s.I would love to know this as well, i just ordered a 2023 XR rubicon and wanted to research ways to increase uptravel. I didn't order the steel bumpers.
