Its a $15k Jeep at best. If the axle is still good you should be ok. But the steering is likely trashed and control arms. Maybe control arm brackets, driveshaft etc. Id say its hit and miss. I wouldn't bet either way. But maybe with labor rates as they are, plus all the replacement parts, then...

I'm trying to retain some of the "budget build hack job" mindset in this build 😉. This was cheaper, faster and easier than a frame chop. Maybe not quite the same amount of clearance, but I'm usually not too troubled for clearance.

Those are pieces of plastic from smokeless powder cans.. the oem crush cans die after one days use in the rocks. Those plastic pieces have been going strong for years. 😀 The rest of the bumper has had a rough life too.. Got a plan for that. Winch plate and recovery hooks only. No bumper..

Ok so smashed my hardtop up on some rocks. Should be repairable. But in taking it off it's become quite obvious that things have moved quite a long way from stock configuration.

You can get 1/4 inch+ plates. But the ones with studs probably start around 1.75" The plates are not a good idea past a very thin limit and in fact are illegal in some states. Ideally buy wheels with the right offset.
