I ditched my Viair after discovering the Milwaukee M18. Inflates my 37’s from 15-28 super fast and one battery can do 4-5 Jeeps. Auto shutoff at a preset psi is spot on accurate. Oh and it’s lightweight. IMO it’s the best option out there in portable inflators.
Which model #? 2848-20? Might grab one to keep in the garage and throw in the back on beach days.

Yep 2848-20. My previous comments were based off of using a 8.0 Ah battery.

I have the smittybilt one mounted in a toolbox and added pressure switch and standard fitting. If I remember correctly it was less than $200 all together, but that was over 2 years ago. I keep everything tire related such as deflators, tire repair plugs, gauge, and hose in that box. It takes about 90 seconds to go from 12 psi to 26 psi on 37 per tire. It works fine but loud and not that fast.

However, recently I have been thinking about getting a ARB dual pumps hard mounted in the Jeep.

I've been running a Viair 400P for 4 or five years now inflating 8 33" tires with out it shutting down to temp. I've ran it on my 35's its a bit slow but it manages 20-36 psi in about 4-5 mins a tire. Currently looking at upgrading to the 450P to safely air my 37's up

I have the Morrflate and 4 tire inflate system. They both work great. I have the XR beadlock capable wheels and they require the straight chucks for easy on and off. The compressor works great and is really fast filling 4 tires.
 I just ordered those things yesterday, hoping they arrive before the weekend so I can try them out!

One thing I have learned about compressors is buy once, cry once. Go for the gusto and go with the ARB twin. I have run the VIAR for many years but after getting the ARB Twin, all of my dreams came true.

Oasis XD-4000 makes the ARB Twin look like a toy... looks like some more crying may be in order.

How about a portable power tank?
That's certainly an option that a lot of people choose. Personally I don't like having to take the tank somewhere to get it refilled. Too much of a hassle and I'm prone to forgetting. So I'd need a backup air compressor for those times.

My firewall mounted ARB goes wherever my Jeep goes...seems pretty 'portable' to me😎

Looking to purchase a portable air compressor. Not really wanting to debate the benefits of an on board system . I prefer a portable . Looking to buy the best quality I can , Any experience with them good, bad is greatly appreciated.
I've been using a Viair 300 for the past two years. It's excellent.

I have the ARB twin mounted in the rear storage compartment.
I also made a dual air-up hose to inflate 2 tires at once. I initially made it to inflate all 4 tires at the same time but the hoses took up too much space and would frustrate me when they got tangled.
The compressor, hoses and everything related to airing up or plugging the tires fits in one convenient place.
The whole setup works perfect for my needs.

Where is the link to the one that is portable and under $900?
