@JeepCares can confirm? Since I’ve already been denied due to mileage but still within the 5 years
Yep lower part of doors and front hood edge is what we plan to get repaired just before our 5 year corrosion warranty expires in a few months. So far $20K has been paid out for 2 previous corrosion claims. Those shims won't do dick for the corrosion on the lower part of the doors or the hood. Lol
Ya, while dealer aren't perfect up here, I definitely feel like we have better experiences here. Its so hit and miss for US owners. Like the idea of a dealer not willing to warranty something because the vehicle wasn't bought from them is alien to me. I moved around a lot during my career and almost always had warranty shit that needed to be done beyond original dealership.Yep lower part of doors and front hood edge is what we plan to get repaired just before our 5 year corrosion warranty expires in a few months. Unfortunately some dealers look to be simply clueless - or do not want to do the TSB - because it is extra work and not as profitable as they want. So expect some to BS you and give you the run around.
Good nonetheless to see that so many others have also received acceptable TSB warranty service on this after 3 years. No holes or panel perforation are required - simple paint bubbling is enough. Push the dealer - or better yet - go to another one that knows how to do the repairs properly. Our previous repairs are supposedly “lifetime covered”. Haha on that.
Jeeps paint prep process is mostly the problem !Those shims won't do dick for the corrosion on the lower part of the doors or the hood. Lol
