Paint bubbles

I just had my 2019 JL at the dealership this past Monday and I can’t get my repairs done until July 2024. I was told I’ll need four new doors by next July.
has anyone seen the bubbling returning after repairs?

Yes, not necessarily on the areas you fixed but on new areas.

In the Seattle market, just to get a quote is 3-6 months out for many body shops. Then you have to get back in line for the repair.

I wanted to trade my Jeep in for the new 2024 JL but this recently happened and now I don’t know what to do. I also don’t want to get a new Jeep and have the same problem.

I had all door hinges and 3 doors repainted last May and now I have hinges bubbling again and hood edges bubbling. One dealer is refusing to help me since I did not buy it from them and the other dealer is an idiot since it took them 5 months to get back with me the first time. I just want to get it fixed and sell it! It's making me unhappy knowing I spent that much and the paint is having these issues and dealers are sucking!

I hate to say it but this is going to be one of those things that eventually turns into a class action lawsuit. We'll all get the info in the mail, a check for $35 for our trouble, and some lawyers will make off with the real money.

Well, Son of B! I'd had the doors, hood & tailgate repaired, and all new hinges on everything a couple of months ago. 30 days later a blister reappeared on the hood, so I got approval for a new hood. It has arrived, just waiting on the body shop. I went out this afternoon (after seeing some photos of other corrosion spots on Jeeps and sure enough......theres a big friggin blister on the inside of the left rear passenger door. It has eaten its way into the door seam, and about a 1 inch strip of paint has already fallen off.

I am beginning to think that once this is fixed that it may be time to sell the Jeep. Sad because I just bought it in Jan 23 with 25K miles on it.

Once they get your cash they don't care. I've been trashing them all over the internet and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

I feel the same way! I love my Jeep, but the paint issue again are turning me off. I am almost old enough to get a Cadillac.....lol

Oh wow. New doors? How bad is the bubbling?

I have about 15 spots last I checked, all varying in size. Some are over two inches in diameter.
My dealer told me they’ll be replacing the doors.
