I've provided a pretty extensive summary regarding "Solly, Cholly", which you have ironically quoted but still somehow failed to understand. You should try taking the whole post into context, instead of declaring the single word you recognize isn't racist.

I don't think saying/hearing a word more makes it any less racist, especially when paired with "Solly, Cholly".

Are you saying it can't be racist if it's intended to be a joke? I disagree.

No need for me to tag the poster. Getting someone to change their opinion is far more productive than getting someone banned, and I'm sure they're watching these replies.
Yes that’s why we have comedians because they make serious issues into jokes also instead of trying to get someone banned like we’re in kindergarten maybe you should try and change their opinion because how easy is it to get banned and just create another profile with another email? Like let’s be serious we are having g this conversation instead of me reporting you for being overly sensitive right once again ricer is no where near racist and that solly cholly thing I don’t know the true origins of it so in all honesty after reading your sensitive definition of ricer low key I can’t even trust your source for solly cholly either I prefer to go straight to the source instead of listening to other people like how do you even know he was racing a Asian person the person could have been white or Blacc? Why are you jumping to conclusions? This is why you need to talk it out and have a open minded conversation then just assuming he’s being racist and trying to “ban” him come on now and I want it known I’m not defending him he’s a man I think or maybe I shouldn’t assume his pronouns since it’s 2022 right I’m defending the word ricer that’s all because ya truly don’t know the term ricer and trying to make it a race thing since it says RICE to me that makes ya racist

Charlie is short for V-C (Vietcong) or Victor Charlie. Nobody has a reason to say that nowadays. Unless is a veteran telling a story.
Ricer(more so after fast a furious came out those type of cars) rice burner was used since the seventy’s and eighty’s or so, rice burner( Japanese model car, motorcycle, engine used in a American car) I wouldn’t call a human that because that would be racist.
I proudly drive Toyota’s as my daily’s, and service trucks. They are built better then every other vehicle available.

What are ya even talking about. Why ya trying to bring that 2022 sensitive shit here. Ricer is used for people (mostly Hondas) that try and make their cars look or sound fast but it’s still a piece of shit theirs nothing racist or nothing wrong with the word ricer ya doing too much now
It’s derogatory, the same way that “beaner” would be, the same way that mentions of “chicken and watermelon” would be as well. That isn’t a matter of opinion or being sensitive in 2022. The same could be said about you bringing outdated racist terms in 2022.

That explains your writing style.
one thing I learned in life when someone knows they’re wrong they try and insult you and you just showed that so thank you for admitting failure with grace like as if we’re not alone and Everyone puts perfect grammar all the time lol

chiccen and watermelon is derogatory now? Because I LOVE those two things so since when has that became bad to say? Beaner is derogatory when used because you can’t say that word is meant for anything else. Once again ricer Is not racist or derogatory never has been and that’s the only word I’m defending the other word I can care less never heard of it

Call me beaner, I couldn't care less, what a stupid thing to be arguing about in a Jeep forum. Is the 2.0 reliable or not?

No it’s not it’s not meant to go past 100k that’s why you look at other SUVs with 4 cylinders and none of them past 100k they’re not meant to pull SUV weight and people go oh well they’re put into romeos we all can push a Romeo with out breaking a sweat

Right at 60k miles without an issue, fed 91 octane since day 1. No rice or beans. It's had a superchips td3 and tune for 9 months, and we did have a bad pcm from them in November. Otherwise she has been rock solid through hundreds of trails and thousands of off road miles along with dozens of 500+ mile roadtrips and 1 that saw 5200 miles in just over 2 weeks.

I just wanted to call it out, being Asian myself and subject to all sorts of racist bs, but I figured I’d let them try to explain themselves.
I hate asking this but honest question.I thought that "Ricer" just stood for "race inspired cosmetic enhancements". Basically a car featuring "upgrades" that add zero additional performance but supposedly look cool. Not challenging it if it is in fact derogatory, I just want to make sure I know if that is the case so asking.

The other term... I get that one. Really silly that this thread devolved into this in the first place.

it's too damn fast.
that's all I can find wrong with the 2.0L Turbo.
just returned from a 2K+ trip to Canadian rockies with lots of trail. Reliable. Efficient gas milage. 2door Rubicon with a hard shell Roof Top tent on a Maximus-3 / Rhino-Rack P.platform and loaded for camping. Stock Rubicon suspension and tires.
Averaged a true 23 mpg when speeds stayed around 65mph. But this 2.0L turbo cruises so easily at 80mph on freeway, even into a headwind, and especially at altitude. Most of the time at low rpms in 8th speed. Once I was on I-15 I couldn't keep it down to 65mph; mpg dropped a bit but still hovering at 20mpg. Makes it harder and harder to miss my TJ.
