So I decided to remove my springs and do a clearance check with my 37x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (they are 36.25 mountes). Its close but everything clears thanks to those super long factory bump stops.

Trials in my area dont open up until May 1st. I had it on the trail when I first bought it last year. It had 400 miles on it and we did a 25mile trail. Everything from rock crawling, water holes, deep mud etc. Performed flawlessly. Been offroading for 15+ years, owned everything from a tj on tons to a jk on 35s and this was the easiest time I've ever had behind the wheel offroad.

Thanks for posting this. I'm glad to see that, while very close, those 37s can fit on the stock XR. Are the pictures where you are really close to touching only when turning at full lock?

At full lock and full compression there was a minimum of 1" clearance all the way around. Would be more with a smaller set of 37s like the ko2s which run closer to 35.5" mounted.

Thanks for clarifying. I looked closer at your pictures and I think the pictures where the tires are the closest are actually in the rear.

Thanks for showing this! I think a mild lift would give anyone so.e breathing room for 37s. I have a 2022 XR in bound and have been trying to figure out what I needed to get 37s under it. I think a spacer lift will work perfectly now!

Nice. Could you tell me the real diameter of those 37s? Mine are 35s but actually measured 34. I was wondering about the real measurements in 37s.

Looks a little tight. I like more breathing room. When I get my 2022 Willys XR I'm going to run the 35s for awhile. If I decide to go 37s I'm definitely getting a larger spacer installed. Add an inch or so. We'll see. I think 35s are plenty for the type of off roading I'll be doing though.
