Unless your lift or spacer or whatever else has been mentioned in this thread to "add breathing room" includes more bump stop, you didn't add any breathing room. Your suspension will still compress to the exact same place as the pics the OP posted. Not saying the spacer or lift skirting is useless, as you did all add uptravel from ride height, but ultimately your bumpstops are what keep your tires out of your fenders. Unless you added shocks so long that they act as bumpstops, but you'd be better off letting a tire rub the fender.
I have 37's (Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's) with a MetalCloak 3.5" Lock-n-load and split fenders. Plenty of room with the stock XR bump stops at full flex and full lock.

Here's a video of me coming down Heart Attack Hill taken by @Mx5red. You can see my tires get pretty stuffed but never rubbed:

Splitting the fenders added the room for the tire to stuff. Lifts don't add tire clearance. Bumpstops or moving the parts that would rub does. If you can run a tire at 3.5" of lift and not rub you can run it with no lift, you just might be riding around on the bumpstops.

Agreed and I didn't say anything different. Just pointing out that the XR bump stops are at the right height for this configuration.

In my opinion they set the xr up perfectly for 37s. The bumpstops work. 4.56 gears are a good match for 37s as well. I felt it was geared a little too deep on the freeway with the stock 35s. We only needed to add 1" to the bumpstops for 39s.

Zach, did you do anything to rear pinch seam behind rear wheel for 39s, or are you bumped to stay out of it ?

Added 2" of bumpstop in the rear on top of the xr 1" spacer. The 39s just kiss the plastic inner fender liners at full stuff. I could trim and buy high clearance liners and gain an inch or maybe 2 of uptravel but I'm happy with how it works now.

Found a deal on the same 37" Mickey ATZ's. I think I'm going to pull the trigger. My only concern is the D load rating.
