Background: Bought a 2018 JLUS. Bought a Xtreme Recon take off suspension. Then bought axles from a 392. I put them all together and have a monster rake. The springs I got are:

Driver Front: 68540188AB
Passenger Front: 68540189AB
Driver Rear: 68540225AA
Passenger Rear: 68580836AA

According to the fantastic spreadsheet @AnnDee4444 put together, this spring combination came off a JLUR XR 3.6 eTorque without steel bumper. When I swapped the axles, I installed wheels, tires and the XR suspension WITH a 0.5" Teraflex leveling pucks on the front springs.

Jeep Wrangler JL Xtreme Recon Rake 1675998861066

This still has a massive 2" rake which could be a half inch worse. Granted, I did delete the rear tire but feel like the rack almost compensates for that. I have a steel bumper, but had the rake prior to putting the bumper on. Scratching my head here. From the same spreadsheet, I could buy the 68540219 & 68540220 from the 392 XR with steel bumper. I expect the heavier motor, bumper, etc would carry a stronger spring rate but spring rates are something I can not find. I also have no idea what the 392 XR springs will give me.

Any thoughts?

You’re not that far off. My stock 392 XR (no winch) and 2.0T XR (winch + 3/4ā€ front pucks) both have a 1ā€ rake.

Following cause i have an 18 with the 2.0 also. I thought running a 1/2ā€ spacer was going to be enough. Do you have a winch installed in that steel bumper?

The springs I bought are 189, 190 front and 223 x2 rear springs based on @Jeepeto ā€˜s build thread since his had factory steel bumpers.

Off topic, it’s nice to see that 37s look like they have enough room with xr springs at least.

@At Risk Ute at least you have got some sweet color.
@6th Floor Mule I have a 3.6 non eTorque
@CptFloridaMan No winch yet. No issues with rubbing around town, but have not had a chance to flex yet. Speaking of off topic, I put 37x13.5 and the Jeep wanders all over the place. Pushes me around. Ordered a Synergy shaft brace for it.

did you ever figure anything out on this? I'm in the same situation with the same p/n springs, minus the spacer.

My stock XR has a rank to it. Never went out and measured but its highly noticeable to me. Just didnt feel like dealing with leveling her off.

Measured to bottom edge of center of fenders, 43.5ā€ front vs 44.5ā€ rear or 1ā€ of rake. No winch and spare tire delete. I also didn’t have hardtop with rack on. Probably would bring it closer to level. That said, I don’t mind a touch of rake.

A Steel bumper and winch on plastic bumper front springs and no spare, on tow package, hardtop XR rear springs is gonna give you the most exaggerated rake of all.
Personally I suggest getting better front springs instead of spacers. Those springs are too soft to carry that weight. I run 2.5ā€ RK springs in the rear and 3.5ā€ RK springs up front.

For anyone that made it this far, I never did find out exactly what it was about mixing Jeep suspensions/axle. But I put a Clayton 2.5" overland kit on it and it was butter. Dead level, and love the firm handling.

It’s not Rocket science. Springs are allocated by options and motor trans combination ā€œNOT BY MODELā€. The problem is people don’t, or don’t want to, understand this. Swapping springs between Jeeps is a crapshoot at best unless you do lots of research and know exactly what spring # you have and what # you will need. Then of course everyone usually adds gear and all their equipment and lose what they gained.

I hate rake!
Makes a Jeep look California GHETTO! (Yeah I went there!)
Throw a spacer on top, level it, call it a day!
