You're joking, right? Right?
Yes he is, at 2k rpm my crawl speed should currently be around 3.2 mph (4.25 when I had the stock rear end ratio), with the 4:1 it should be around 2.2 mph.

Rubicon guys have told me to slow down many times, but I can only go so slow before it stalls. I jokingly called my Jeep "Group B" for a while because they would always joke about how fast I went up things.

January- Install my new 1.5" coils and 2" teraflex shock spacers

February - Order and have installed my 37" Sailun Terramax RTs

Before June - finish my DIY Rear Seat Mounting Bracket

Before August - have my original PCM tuned, with no planned date to install.

No Exact Dates, Sometime In 2025 -
Play with the roof rack, Play with various LED light setups, play with the hardtop, possibly upgrade the roof rack, possibly upgrade more suspension parts, Make a DIY aluminum rear window (Not much of a window), put various stickers all over my Wrangler, install my new 7-in headlights, paint some things, drill some holes, put some padding on the rear most crossbar, etc.
Got exact day and hours to go along with the planning

The only time I've seen that become a significant issue is when descending extremely steep stuff for an extended period of time. You have to use your brakes (a really, really bad thing) if you lack sufficiently low gears. Watching someone in a Sport lose their brakes descending Red Cone (CO) is a bit frightening.

If I had an auto it wouldn't be as big of a deal I could just brake to slow my ascent on an obstacle, but with a manual, I can only brake so much before it stalls and stalling in the middle of an obstacle can be a tricky event.

Looking at maybe a dash cam (a Garmin Mini2 or Mini3). If the increasing fan noise on my LED headlight bulbs leads to their failure, I'll likely bite the bullet and get a set of Oculus Bi-LEDs.

My wife used to get soooo embarrassed / mad whenever I stalled mine mid-obstacle. You'd think she'd get used to it, but hell no!

Outside of my 35’s I’m starting over with a stock ‘21 Rubicon since I had to sell the modestly modded and locked Sahara in the walkaround video I made, leaving us with only one Wrangler. I just want to get back to where I was but since she put most of the 100k miles on it doing sales travels, I have to wrap up the basic maintenance first.

- With that, I need to get a couple more tools for the maintenance. Then I can install the Metalcloak ball joints, stock steering, Steersmarts front track bar. I don’t do too difficult of trails often.

- I’ll swap in a smidge taller stock Rubicon spring set with a 1/2” spacer up front. Budget is tight so I got some not-so-long lasting Rubicon takeoff shocks for now. I’d like to get back to Fox sooner than later. I liked my Synergy 1” springs all around too.
- Install yet another set of Mopar LCA’s
- Get a good fitting winch plate for my Comeup winch to mount into the stock steel bumper
- Mount the BD squadron sport wide cornering lights and wire them into auxiliary.
- Get another gap hider and the factory mounting bracket. Yeah, mine came with the stock Rubicon gap hider for the cargo area but I scavenged it and put it in the Sahara I sold. I regret it Now the stock part prices went up even more.

Anyone got a used one lying around? Maybe you put a Goose gear platform or similar in.

-Then rest is minor storage things I already have to put back in.

Then I’ll be good for a while. It’s modest as I try to avoid the slippery slope of changes that make you change other things. I just want to GO out again. Maintenance first, then finishing it up.

Crap…I guess I would like another engine skid plate and at least some diff covers or skids. Man I miss my Sahara. It was pretty much DONE. It took three years for me to squeak that mod money into it. lol

2025 Plan
  • Fox 2.5 DSC Shocks
  • 0.5 spacers on the right side (to counter the lean in AEV springs set that didn't come with shims like the ones in a full kit)
  • Rock lights and possibly a chase light
  • Roof Top Tent (Sold the Smittybilt XL, looking for a sub 100lb one)
  • May be - MC 4xe front driveshaft

For my JL I'd like to find a rearview mirror that shows the view from the factory reverse camera, without having to be in reverse, if they make such a thing. Because once the 40" spare tire was mounted, the view from the stock rear view mirror ended.

For my wife's Gladiator I need to add an on-board air system. And I'd like to get one of those Smart Tops to cover the bed.

Tried to do that, but she eventually gave up when she was unable to get anywhere even close to what she wanted in a 2-door. Basics like 35s (that I failed to talk her out of) with the 3.6 auto simply didn't exist when she was looking, no matter what jeep.com claimed. And, of course, the one color she liked disappeared as soon as she started looking.

I plan to install Molle panels on the 2 rear windows in the cargo. Mount Weboost, radio and Ecoflow charger to one panel. And mount all control units on an overhead panel in the front.

I used to get embarrassed if I stalled at an intersection.
Now I just don’t give a fuck.
