Thanks OP for the idea. I installed mine today. It took me a lot of time figuring out how to mount the solenoid. Tried hose clamp but ended up not working well. Eventually I used a bracket that comes with the winch, reused the bolt that connects the bumper-frame bracket on one side of the...
Yes, I mean the look. And it's deceptive to consumers with the OEM look and shitty structure. I'm not confident about the bumpers sold at ebay or aliexpress passing US safety regulations.
This happened in China. Maybe the bumper is not available in US I don't know. And yeah I can't believe the air bag didn't go off. But that was what happened.
This is from another forum. I’m surprised that the like-OEM bumper can be like this in a small crash (no airbag went off). The bumper in the photo is aluminum Chinese 10th anniversary one. Is it no better than the OEM plastic bumper in a crash?
Update: no one is injured. Photo of the other car.
Got from a friend who used it for ~1 year on his 4xe. I spray-painted it (bad job but I believe can be re-done). During the installation on my JLU I was not able to align the 4 holes with the frame rail. Enlarged one hole but eventually gave up. Not sure if it's the plate or my installation...
I just installed a WARN Power Interrupt Kit on my JL. It connects to the AUX3 switch. Everything works. But every time I turn it on via the aux switch, I heard a click sound from the solenoid. I noticed there was a shake move from the solenoid when turning it on. Is this normal?
No LED foglight nor harness. Comes with all pieces and bolts. One corner of the plastic air dam is slightly bended.
Free. Local pick up only. Greater Seattle area.
I’d like to try it! Im currently in the planning of upgrade my ARB single compressor. Plan to hard-wire a new compressor to the rear truck with 4 way tire inflation system. Will measure the amps and cable&compressor temperature (since it’s hard-wired inside the cabin, temperature matters a lot)
1. Price. 5100 is less than $400 while fox 2.0 IFP is close to $700.
2. Web reviews. Surprisingly I found a few folks liked 5100 better (especially on road) than fox on YouTube if you search.
3. durability. I saw people using 5100 for many years and don’t fail. Yes fox is rebuitable but the...
I finally got my bilstein 5100 installed (2-3 inch) on my JLUR XR. Definitely an improvement over my already leaked stock shocks. Most noticeable change is when on highway, the steering feels more stable and straight. I think it's because the new shock absorbs more movement from ground.
How many miles are on those shocks? Do you know their collapsed and extended lengths? I'm not sure if the spec are the same as the original Fox shocks as dynatrac said they are tuned to their springs.
