no.
mine made a mild pop while accelerating a few miles before it just shut off a couple of starts later.

no codes, no noises, nothing.

When yours went was there clicking then no acceleration. There wasn’t any liquids leaking or any loud noises just a quiet and rapid click that only happened while I was actively pressing the gas pedal.

I forgot I have a video of my no power issue. This one was July 11 this year driving back to Utah from Colorado along I-70. Just uploaded to share here.

Warning chime to alert me ACC was canceled at the same time the throttle was cut. I put my foot to the floor and it slowed the deceleration, but Jeep kept slowing and downshifting with seemingly zero power. Gauges all read normal, but Accessory/Off-Road pages are unavailable.

Shut down on side of road, look everything over, nothing obvious, restart, and everything seems like it's back to normal.

That is very similar to what happened with mine. Just not the restarting part ha.

Man, I am not usually a fan of fuel additives but I am going to start putting that snake oil in until I get my new fuel pump via that recall. 15k so far but I am not going to risk it...fortunately in TX there is a diesel truck in every other driveway so fuel doesn't sit at the filling station long but damn...the cp4 is a sensitive devil...

Does anyone know what new model they are replacing the fuel pumps with? I really hope they don’t put the same one back in ?

Thanks for the links Come2elmo. I’ll post here about what they actually change out and if they change anything from factory for my 2022. Here’s hoping I get it back this year.

It’s official. My fuel pump exploded. Now I get to wait for a new fuel pump and injectors….

So I have a 2022 with 4200 miles on it and 35s. No issues so far and have loved driving it. Yesterday as I was getting on the freeway I was able to get up to around 60mph but then merging I noticed a clicking noise when I stepped on the gas and I wasn’t getting any power. Luckily I was able to get to the shoulder and immediately turned it off. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn’t fire up. The engine was turning over but it wasn’t getting gas. I still had full electrical use and no sign of any liquids leaking. I didn’t get a chance to check fuses. Towed it to a dealership and now waiting 1-2 days till they can diagnose the problem. I’m thinking fuel pump or maybe electrical connected to fuel pump. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks
How low do you let the tank get, before you fill it up. I know people had issues with many diesel Pickups fuel injection pumps going out, because they let them run as close to empty, before filling up.
The VP44, and CP3 pumps were sensitive to the heated fuel. The fuel gets recirculated, and when it is low, the fuel heats up. Some even suggest the low levels allow trash to get into the system. Me, I can't see that as an issue, because the fuel filter should take care of that issue.

Having owned RAM / Cummins pickups with HPCR fuel systems since 2003 MY.....the CP3’s are tougher than nails.

Long story short.....the CP4’s are a mistake....so much so that RAM tried them in their 2500/3500/4500/5500’s between 2019 and 2020.....and it is currently biting them in the asssssssss with recalls and TSB’s.

My previous 2018 RAM 4500 was sold at 473k miles......on the OE lift pumps (it had the 22+52 gallon tanks) CP3, and injectors.....all by performing maintenance by the book with quality Fleetguard and MoPar fuel filters.

Additionally.....I used that truck for running hotshot, below is the amount of fuel that was ran through that truck during my ownership....all 47,344 gallons of it.

Thankfully......RAM went back to the CP3 in 2021. My 2022 RAM 5500 has been rock solid through 24k miles.
