I have an appointment on Monday for the recall. The part number that they gave me is CSGNZ963AA. This number is different from some I’ve seen on here. Can anyone clarify which is the correct improved one? She also said I could pay to upgrade the pump whatever that means. Thanks for your help.

That’s a $40 tube, part of the injector system. I think your dealer is stroking you.

That part number comes up as the following, see image attached below
Something to do with fuel injector. If they are trying to sell you an ADDITIONAL service, then that makes sense. Fuel injection cleaning perhaps?? Who knows?
Regarding fuel pump replacement. It's some version of the CP4.2
Should be identical in looks to the pump that's being replaced in your Eco-Diesel.
There is NO upcharge for any pump replacement. This is being done as recall
Any discussions regarding a charge, means they are performing an additional service. Period
Best wishes

I think I’m gonna pass. She’s said that they had 50 of them too. Sounds a little fishy.

There is definitely a disconnect between you/ "she"... sounds like you were talking to the very talented 9-5 receptionist... ha ha. But seriously, I would ask to speak with someone else, I would be willing to bet that your conversation will be different.

I called back and talked to someone else. They don’t have a fuel pump in stock and now I’m number 20 on their list.
They couldn’t figure out who would have said that they did. Still waiting.

From what I understand that's something like 20 weeks.

so, my pump was replaced last week while it was in for an unrelated Check Engine Light issue.

previously the same dealer had told me i'd have to schedule an appointment for an "Inspection" to determine if it had already contaminated the fuel system so they would know what parts to order before they did the replacement, but this time they reportedly had the parts in stock and it was handled alongside the other recalls and issues very matter-of-factly.

didn't get any paperwork, Users Manual Addendums, or stickers near the fuel filler as have been reported by some other folks. only sign anything had been done at all was a disturbance of the dirt pattern on the engine cover.
