Dang I hate someone wrenching on my rig. With the recall of the HPFP I'm gonna have to come to grips that it's gonna happen. How big of a job ya think this is going to be? Looking under the hood of this beast, nothing is easy. Where is the pump even located? Mine runs like a raped ape, I sure hope they don't screw things up.

I am having the same feeling. I don't trust any local dealer to do a simple oil change let alone major engine work. The fuel pump is right on the front left side of the engine. It's not too hard of a job, but I feel like once I have this work done, something else will fail as a result and then Ill never get out of that cycle.
I seriously have no faith in jeep service even a little.

Right side, sorry. Regardless its not hard to get to. I still don't trust dealer service to get it right.

Was your 78K replacement like-for-like, or was the replacement pump an update in some way?

S&S does one of those kits for Duramax and Cummins but they do not list anything for the EcoDiesel.

I would call S&S, and see if their kit will work.

I'm wondering what the CP4.2 pump under recall will be replaced with...I'm also seeing where from 2018 to 2020 Cummins Rams and DuraMax with CP4 have a class action suite.
This is really a sh*tShow for the manufactures and Bosch.

I sure hope it's really NEW AND IMPROVED...

Wow, my Jeep has been at the dealer for 3 weeks now. F'ing joke. The service guy can't follow up and give me updates how long this will take to fix. I called Jeep Care and got them involved. I wish I never bought this Jeep. This is my 2nd motor problem with only 18,000 miles.

I'm thinking about trading it in for a Power Wagon.

New update on my Jeep, today is week #5 and still no results. After replacing the high pressure fuel pump, that didn't fix my issues. Next, they had to remove the body from the frame and replace the turbo. Hopefully that fixed my issue. If not, they will probably have to replace the motor. I had to get Jeep Care involved, because the customer service at Tuttle-Click Tustin service department sucks. My service adviser refuses to shoot me a text, email or call for weekly updates. I have to actually drive to the dealership for updates. All the guy tells me is they have a big job and don't have enough mechanics to do the work.

So I emailed the VP and Sales Manager of the company to complain. After I get my Jeep fixed, I will no longer bring my Jeep here. I told the VP of the company I spent $90,000 for a Jeep I can use and get shitty customer service.

At Porsche, I spent $90,000 and do you know what kind of customer service I get there? I get the "white glove" treatment. They go into full detail on what is wrong with my car, show photos and explain in detail what needs to be fixed, why and how long it will take.

At Tuttle-Click Tusin, they are clueless. They don't do this. I told the VP I'm going to let everyone I know about their service. Its rediculous.

I had to hire an attorney and am now going the lemon law route. I love the diesel Jeep, but won't buy one again. Jeep used have hired Cummins to build the motor for the Jeep.

There is nothing available on the market that is better than the diesel.
