  1. Best engine for intended purpose

    My tranny failed as well.
  2. Best engine for intended purpose

If Stellantis retuned the Pentastar to produce more low-end torque (foregoing some high-end bhp) it would be a better fit. It's a fairly peaky engine considering the vehicle it's powering. I owned an H-D with a aggressive cam and it went like jet stink if you wound it out. I had a lower...
  3. Best engine for intended purpose

There is one recurring theme that we can all agree to: the 3.8 liter engine, that immediately preceded the Pentastar, was a disaster. Unfortunately, I lived at 8,200' in the Colorado Rockies when I owned one. Between the low output of the engine and the effect of altitude (25% loss), it was...
  4. $76K 2024 X, should I reject purchase for $95 “error”.

@Halxen said that I needed "play catch up", but I had the same issue as you did. I read the OP's thread three times and still struggled with understanding his issue. Part of it was the formating, with seemingly every sentence starting a new paragraph. Understanding the issue seemed to hinge...
  5. $76K 2024 X, should I reject purchase for $95 “error”.

Am I understanding this correctly: You placed an order and subsequently added/changed an item? It wasn't clear how much time had elasped before you decided you wanted tow package/aux switches. If it was the next morning, that's one thing. If not, you're on thin ice.
  6. Best engine for intended purpose

I love my diesel, but if I were to buy a new JL tomorrow, I'd go 4xe. That said, my first choice of potential/future engines would be the I6T. My only concern is how stressed the 3.0 liter engine is at 510bhp - that's BMW M levels of engine efficiency, and Stellantis ain't BMW when it comes to...
  7. I have a new fuel pump!

Too late. :) I'm counting on the new fuel pump to work as intended - forever.
  8. Best engine for intended purpose

I ordered a 2012 Pentastar before they hit the dealer's floors. When it arrived, compared to my old JK minivan engine, the Pentastar felt like an absolute rocketship. It felt like it had an extra two cylinders.
  9. Best engine for intended purpose

The JL has had an amazing five different engines offered during its tenure. [More if you count eTorque] Which is the best for off-roading? Ironically, it seems like the two top contenders have been both discontinued.
  10. FIXED - Sun Visor Rattle/Vibration Noise (Solution)

I may be the only owner who replaced all SIX bump stops.
  11. 392 pricing

The 3% under invoice savings will pay for a rental car for the next millennia or so.
  12. Jeep dealer throwing parts at a noise.

Not sure about your noise, but you gotta be pleased with their diligence.
  13. FIXED - Sun Visor Rattle/Vibration Noise (Solution)

Fixed my vibration! OP, you are my new hero.
  14. NOCO and dead battery

I wouldn't replace it, or remove it. I'd suggest merely bypassing it - five minute job.
  15. NOCO and dead battery

Not sure if NOCOs are junk, but they are his "competition". I suspect he'd say the same about any consumer-level jump starters. That said, I own a GB40 (wife's) and a GB50 (mine). Your GB70 should have made short work of the issue. As an aside, many of us have experienced the...
  16. Ode to the 3.0D: Test drove one and....

Here in Phoenix, Bill Luke Jeep has a half dozen - all with five figure discounts from MSRP. Scoup one up while you can. I've bought from them - good experience.
  17. Dishonest Dealership

When you refer to the "finance guy" is that the employee who tries to sell extended warranties at time of sale, or an actual employee of the accounting department? You want the latter.
  18. Stellantis changes the terms on my 36mo Lease!!

They gave you a new option that you didn't have. You were certainly not disadvantaged in any way.
