Just FYI: I was at my Jeep dealer today. The part kits for the 3.0 L diesel high pressure fuel pump recall are starting to arrive. The dealer has a waiting list for diesel owners that have requested the recall completion.

I have had two appointments for the recall. Dealer #1 I made an appointment confirmed they had the parts, 2 weeks later when I arrive for the appointment they dont have the parts, WTF?

One person told me they have to look at the vehicle first and determine which parts have to be replaced then they will order the parts, I responded that is not what the recall notice stated, then another person said that is not correct and they will order the parts and call me when they arrive, that was around Nov 1st, and no call to date.

So Dealer #2, I called them the next day, I was told they can only order parts every 7 days, they would place an order and schedule the repair for November 27th. So I arrive today, and no parts, they started the spill about limited parts order, when the advisor I knew showed up, he went and checked and told me my parts would be there tomorrow for the repair. I needed an oil change and tire rotation, so I allowed them to complete that work.

I cant believe how much bad information and mis-communication to get this work completed. While I was waiting another customer was talking to the Service manager about the same issue, the SM responded "I'm sorry for the mix up be we can only order every 7 days....... when the parts come we will come and pick up your vehicle perform the work and return it to you" the customer asked fine, when will you have the parts, SM not sure there is a list of customers waiting.

IMHO, this is beyond ridiculous. As much as I like my JLURD (and I have had no issues) it will be my last JEEP product......

so what car dealer has good experiences now? I've had similar terrible experiences at Chevy and Tesla (by FAR the WORST ever...they won't even talk to you)

GM dealers suck. For sure. No experience with the others well besides Toyota but they so rarely need service.

Here's what's going on with my 2021 gladdy ecodeisel. Went into the shop last monday, called me on Thursday asking if I had a tune on it because it was throwing all kinds of codes after installing the new pump.. They didn't say what codes. I laughed and said no. I get in contact with the dealership yesterday(Monday, now a week in the shop) and said they are replacing the new pump they just put in due to it being faulty. They said it was throwing all kinds of fuel rail codes. Called jeep cares to try and get a rental they said they do not give rentals on recall work. I explained the situation, they gave me a case number and am now waiting for them to call me back.

if you remember, would you please keep us all posted on if you notice *any* differences after you've driven it for a while?

So just an update to my previous post. Dealer #2, received the parts and performed the recall today. Must give credit when credit is due, Dealer #2 has been good for servicing my JLURD....

Excellent point. There have been some people saying that it no longer derates.

will do, the dealer also left 2 information items on the console. a guide on using diesel and bio-diesel fuel, and an addendum to Diesel engine operation and maintenance. It states that a fuel filter should be replaced at each oil change, and that no diesel fuel additive is necessary...

My dealer told me yesterday that all the required parts will be in this Friday. Said they will want the Jeep for two days, one for install and the other to make sure everything works OK.

now Jeep wants you to change the fuel filter more often and use specific diesel???So we have to increase our costs to operate our Jeeps because of Stellantis’s poor decision in using these Bosch fuel pumps that have been a source of failure for years in the US.

can you summarize what they say about fuels?
i wonder if it’s anything different than what it says in the Users Manual ( that most people don’t read).

Where did you get the impression that they've changed the diesel requirements?

Yup, you’re right. I change the oil at about 3500 miles, forgot Factory specs.?
