Hello Forum,
A few months ago, I received my Recall letter concerning High Pressure Fuel Pump, which we all know about. Letter stated recall issued, but parts/fix not in place at that time. Yesterday, I received a second letter concerning recall. This letter does not mention anything about parts/fix availability, just that a recall has been issued and to schedule service under recall. Anyone know if parts/fix has officially been issued and be completed by dealers? Thanks.

My dealer in Bend Oregon says they have no parts for Jeeps. They said once parts are available, Ram trucks are the priority.

My dealer called me yesterday, all parts are in for the HPFP replacement and scheduled an appointment for the 30th. Said they will complete the installation in a few hours. Mine will be the second one they have done.

I got my letter yesterday. Oddly enough the issues I posted on earlier this year went away with the right additives. I called two local dealers here in the Clearwater area and no call back yet. I will give it till Tuesday as I know it is the weekend.

@SonofaSeabee My wife had hers done at Larry Miller CDJR in Boise ID on Oct 23. Not sure it helps, but did not even ask if I wanted it done, just performed HPFP replacement at the same time as NOX.

Yeah got a letter today, called my dealer last week and totally clueless. I will check back in months maybe next spring. Already 10 degrees here so heat will not be an issue at least.

This was my posting and I still don't have a new fuel pump. The dealer has an actual pump set aside for me but now we are waiting on an "installation kit" consisting of hoses/washers/etc... They didn't realize they needed it until the Jeep was in the shop.

Has anyone else run into this bump in the road? The kit doesn't seem to be readily available.
No kit due to strike? Possibly?

I was told by dealer in MA that they are only allowed to order one HPFP every 10 days

Contact your local dealer. Parts are slowly arriving all over the US
I did, I'm now 7th on wait list at their shop
I really don't mind waiting, as I believe in "if it ain't broke dont fix it"
I also prefer they practice on the 6 before me ?

On the waitlist. Fuel pumps in, waiting for the kit. Service manager indicated strike is causing the kit to be delayed. With the care and detail in treating this vehicle like all my others. Almost always superseding recommended and or required service intervals parts and maintenance including fuel additives. I was never really concerned about a fuel pump failure. Knowing there are quality issues and failures in the gassers/4xe's puts a smile on my face that we now may be at the top of the Wrangler best model choice. ( if this fuel pump replacement fares out successful) leaving very little or no mechanical failures that are diesel specific. And since the diesel has been discontinued it also might very well be a sought after model choice. Not that I ever plan on selling it but the diesel may hold even higher value than the already high resale value the Wranglers of the past has always proven. Typically in the top 10.

My dealer says they have to do a pre evaluation to figure out what they need. Does this sound right? It’s annoying to me because they are an hour away and they won’t be fixing it on the first appt.
