I had to do this, yes. Others have not.
(Before everyone craps on my service team, they are the largest in my state and of the three I've used, by far the best one.)
My dealer says they have to do a pre evaluation to figure out what they need. Does this sound right? It’s annoying to me because they are an hour away and they won’t be fixing it on the first appt.
I don’t off road. I don’t tow. I don’t have a scan gauge (because the diesel works fine). I don’t try to max out 0-60.
And I love it. Brand reliability aside, it’s the best engine. Should last forever. Fuel efficient. Def is the most minor of annoyances and any auto parts store has it.
So...some rando guys at a Jeep Jamboree are like the entire EV industry? Good comparison, "engineer."
EV/PHEV/hybrid isn't the future. It's here and it's growing by leaps and bounds. Some models may come and go but the tech is here to stay.
And yes, I'm familiar with hydrogen. It's great...
Nice story bro. 3 Priuses in my family. One died at 270k, my brother’s. We had the other 2 and sold both for a lot of money at 120K plus. No issues on ours.
I’m sure you’re against EVs because of their environmental impact. But in case you are (dubious), you know that they use the petrol...
If there had been a horse and buggy discussion board, these folks are the descendants of the people who would be talking about how the horseless carriage will never catch on.
Change can be hard for people.
An EV is not a fit for both our cars either, but it's a fit for most families for one of their cars. They last forever. And no, you can't compare an EV car to a 90s PC that goes out of date.
Every criticism you make of EV cars, people made x1000 about the Prius, which is a MUCH more...
No one is throwing everything into the EV bucket in 2023. But there are very few (if any) US families that couldn't easily have one only one petrol/hybrid car right now, and the rest EVs...if they could afford it. And the affordibility will currently ensure that EV adoption remains slow for the...
You and I drive one of the least reliable brands out there and we paid north of 60K for the diesel. We are not in a Toyota Camry budget and reliability conversation.
Second, the EV movement isn’t sunshine and rainbows but the truth is EVs have far fewer parts to break so there’s almost nothing...
You brought up the Mach E. I compared it to Tesla because they have similar price tags in the EV market. My point was that the Mach E struggles because it’s priced like Tesla but doesn’t have the range, reputation, or charging network. If Ford wants to price their EV like a Tesla, they need a...
