looking for options for having a small non mounted air compressor to have if ever needed to air up a 37 inch tire. don't really do any off roading.
i want to remove spare tire and just need something to air a a flat in a pinch to get to a place to get it fixed. i see several new vehicles do not have a spare anymore and come with a small portable air compressor with fix a flat in them. any recommendations would be helpful and great. i have learned a lot from all of the jeep owners in this forum

thank you

Hmmm. The problem is a small air compressor and 37" tires don't go well together.
The Viair 400 is an excellent portable air compressor that will handle 37s but it isn't exactly small nor cheap.

Another option to consider since you don't go off road and will probably rarely use the compressor (if ever) is to just get a small cheap compressor and consider it disposable. It will take forever to fill up the 37 and it may burn itself out trying, but as you said it's only for use in a pinch.

Milwaukee and Dewalt make battery powered air compressors.
Smittybilt 12 volt compressors are not too expensive.

The Dewalt is a good option if it’s for topping off tires as condition changes or filling up a low tire. I always throw it in as a back up when traveling but don’t want to bring my heavier compressor. Not great if you are actually airing down but still works just need lots of time to air back up.

I just purchased their 'Maddox' unit and its real nice. I don't have any other to compare it to other than the ones that sometimes come with car. It works for me.

I have the EzFlate C.A.S.E. It is a small gun case sized portable twin compressor unit you hook to your battery when needed. It can fill 4 tires at once with their optional 4 tire hose kit.
It comes with a single 26 foot extension along with a 4 foot lead hose so you can set the unit on the ground and inflate your tire.
I am selling mine only because I am going to be installing the Kraken kit and ARB twin compressor next weekend.

I have a ViAir 440P I've used for years and really liked it, my 33's on the TJ and the 35"s on the F250 take +/- 5 minutes. This year I decided I wanted to do all 4 tires at once so I picked up a MorrFlate 10.9 cfm dual compressor and their 4 tire hose now it takes about +/- 8 minutes to do all four

I’ve got one of those too, it’s good! Might be willing to sell it if OP’s interested since I just got a Morrflate system.

Viair 400P Automatic. Great unit. Can find cheap on Facebook Marketplace, that's what my friend did and she saved a lot (brand new, never used too).

I bought one of these used, removed it from the box (too bulky for me) and added a trailer plug and anderson connectors to be able to run from either the battery posts or from the 7-pin plug in the back.

made for an interesting project, but I haven’t used it much yet as my offroading plans haven’t materialized for a while ?

I just got a Morrflate with the two tire attachment. I first aired down two of my 37" tires from 32 to 15 lbs and it took 2.5 minutes total. Then I inflated them back up to 32lbs each and it took 2.5 minutes. The compressor was a little warm but not bad at all. Considering it's $300 for both the compressor and the two tire adapter its a good system for the money.
