True that, more than once I’ve been certain I had the valve core set in tight when I took the deflator off, only to have it shoot out into the dirt. Luckily I’ve been able to find them each time.
I’m using a Morrflate quad hose to air down now, I like it way better, so much easier on my knees...
well guys, after a few hundred miles, several off road I can say with confidence that these blacks are incredible!
Mind you I’m coming from the (I’m my opinion) cobbled together XR stock suspension, but my jeep is SO much smoother over small bumps in the road and on the trail, vehicle feels...
I agree 100%, I find the driving experience of the wrangler very endearing. I literally look for excuses to be out in it. But a LOT of people don’t seem to.
I hope they never water down the Wrangler. The moment they ditch SFA, is the moment I’m not a prospective wrangler buyer anymore.
As someone who owns a JLU rubicon AND a mildly lifted 5th Gen 4Runner TRD off-road. I’d make the decision based on how much you plan to be off road, and what type of terrain you want to tackle.
My jeep has been rock solid for 3 years thus far. I absolutely love it, and I Daily Drive it. But...
people run 37’s with the 2.5” kit. The 3.5 could probably support 39’s or even 40’s. The 37’s give a lot of wheel well clearance with the 3.5” kit and are the smallest tire I’d run with that lift height.
here’s how it looks sitting level on the 37’s:
I got the game changer, but the height at the spring should be the same/similar.
and yes, 37” tires. I wouldn’t go 3.5” if not going to 37” tires, 35’s would probably look funny.
Here’s an example of how much space under the bump stop a MetalCloak 3.5” kit opens up on the XR. Plenty of up travel in there! I’ve got 2 bump stop extenders in there too.
And here’s an example of the flex you can expect from the added droop a proper set of shocks will get you. I’ve...
This is why I went with Morrflate. I checked out Thors, EZFlate, Morrflate at EJS vendor show. The Morrflate has a stainless steel outlet hose that seems to dissipate heat really well. In my experience, it’s not just marketing bs. It’s never gotten too hot for me to just uncouple the...
I’m 42, graduate school degree, one kid moved out, 3 still at home. I’m well paid for what I do, and could drive something much more expensive than my JLUR, but that’s what I wanted and I love it. Wife learned to love it when I had her borrow it during a run of heavy snow 2 years ago and...
Had this recently, thought it was battery going (also in a 21). Battery tested fine. Got a battery tender, it helped. Would recharge once or twice a week. I make short drives mostly, not long enough for the BSG to top off the battery after cranking the engine.
But now that the...
100% this. I loved to drive without roof and doors when I was in my early 20’s and had my first jeep. Now I don’t really care for it. I have a soft top that goes on in the spring, and I’d take the doors off for a trail run, but even most of the warm season I drive around with the soft...
I just sold a set of 4 well loved 315’s off my XR for $500. Good tread left, but some chunks missing from crawling rocks. A local off road recovery business snatched them up.
Why not just order the MC lift without shocks, and get the Falcons separately?
I’ve got a MC 3.5” gamechanger, can’t fault it. I bought the MC Rocksport black shocks, another good option that’s similar to the Falcon’s.
that said, I don’t think you’d regret buying a Clayton kit either...
