Alright, from what I see... the label seems to show front is back. Is this OEM steering stabilizer installed correctly?

The label is located at the right side near the steering knuckle.

Looks backwards to me, though I honestly don't know if it makes a difference. The shock is still horizontally mounted in either direction.

Thanks... after intensive search for images of factory Rubicon suspensions, there are a few with the stabilizer in opposite direction. Though mine has label facing up, not down as many are pictured. If I rotate the stabilizer 180° to have the label face down to the road, there is no question as to the installed orientation.

It’s probably because of the cover over the shaft. In the current position when the tire kicks up water and debris it could get between the cover and the stabilizer body. Flip the stabilizer around 180 degrees and the cover is doing its job. Probably nothing to worry about. There are thousands of Jeeps out there with stabilizers that don’t even have covers of the their shafts. (That sounds really bad. I’ll wait for the jokes :))

No need for a cover, a properly tight seal will keep your shaft nice and shiny...

Should I take my pants or shirt off first when taking a shower?
I dont think it makes any difference one way or the other. :CWL:

From another thread:
Shocks work by oil through an orifice. Oil can’t compress so the orifice slows things down.
Gas compresses so it all goes right through an orifice very easily and you loose the dampening effect.
So it’s important to keep the orifice side down where the oil is.

My wife had her 2018 JLU stabilizer replaced under recall. When I installed a Fox stabilizer 6 months later I found that the dealer installed the new factory one backwards. Either they’re idiots (likely) or the orientation does not matter.
