I get that @Rhinebeck01 is not all hugs, and hula hoops, and rainbows. But if you can get past that, he adds a shitload of good knowledge (mostly patiently, sometimes not) to this forum. There’s always the ignore button for anyone that triggers you.
No one cares that someone online here or anywhere isn’t hugs, hula hoops and rainbows. But one shouldn’t have to come across insults or mocking with laughing emojis for having a different opinion than his on a forum for Jeep peeps to learn or get info. Or simply pointing out something he said that changed and informing a thread OP to take opinions but also due their own DD as some insult to him. There are some great forum members here with a ton of knowledge and greatly helpful to many (including myself) ….and yet somehow they can manage to do so without insulting anyone? Odd ?

No need to sugar coat his behavior. He should grow up a little cuz the insults and laughing is childish at best! And yes one can ignore, very true… but he also can keep his immature insults to himself as well and show some respect for fellow forum members.

Trust me. Early on I probably made his asshat list a time or two, but Im working on overlooking people’s flaws instead of letting them get me fired up. I have no disagreement with you or your opinions.

Every single one of us has been a twatwaffle at one time or another. I don’t hold that against anyone, unless it’s consistent behavior.

We can be accused of that, too, even if it wasn’t the intention because of how text is interpreted.

The M200 is also referred to as a JL Dana 44. Read the current, Dana spec sheets in regard to "Lubricant Type" to use for the Dana 44, as recommended by Dana.

In regard to the JL:

JL Rubicon = Dana M210 Front / Dana M220 Rear

JL Sahara (Standard) = Dana 186MM Front / Dana M200 Rear

JL Sport = Dana M186 Front / Dana M200 Rear

JL Sahara & Sport Option = Dana M220 Rear

As an option, the JL Sahara and Sport are also available with a Dana M220 rear axle which comes as a part of the limited slip differential.
Do not forget the JL Willys up to 2023 with M186 front and M220 rear standard length with LSD. Now the 24 Willys are even different. I'm so confused!

If it comes to insults you know you're in trouble when you get a "warning" point. I was a meany... once

...and the High Altitude comes with the wide M210 front and M220 rear as well.

Yes, real pain to read through a lengthy thread...

Indeed that thread is a lengthy one.... however there is a wealth of info in that thread, in regard to dealing with the diff fluid change.

There is a lot more to the diff fluid changes then just what fluid to use.

Were it me, I would rather work through/read a long long thread and learn history, recommendations, caveats, recommended tools, hints, etc., then to quickly read through a short thread that says/offers very little and with posts by fewer forum members... by those forum members that are likely not as knowledgeable as those that have done the Wrangler / Wrangler JL dance for years.

With that said, along with a recommendation, I myself also point noobies to the lengthy threads as I know, though a long thread .... the reader will be far better off reading that entire thread, then other shorter threads. More reading means you end up more knowledgeable..

.
True, knowledge is power indeed.

These are the same files in the post I linked above. They describe the M210 and M220 -- but here, the OP is asking about the M200.
Does not matter...all Dana axles in Wranglers specify 75W-140 as stated by Dana.
