It's mostly a weekend car, maybe once per week I will drive to work.....

Fun thing to do, change out the stock covers for one with a fill and drain plug. That way you don’t have to make a mess next time you change it. I wanted the ARB differential covers, easy peasy

Definitely a good idea. There is less fluid in these axles than previous generations so it is a good idea to change it out according to the service interval in the owners manual. And it's easier than doing an engine oil change.

It won't kill your diff to run the recommend 75w90. But it's better to run 75w140.

Yes, totally worth it. I recently changed diff fluid on my 2000 F350, with 270k on it. Fluid was pristine. No wear on gears. Always been changed about 60k. Cheap insurance.

Not anymore, they eliminated the drain plug. However, a small pump can be used from the fill plug to remove MOST of the old fluid, a method I’ll be using since I got metal clock diff skids making cover removal more of a job. Had the fluid changed right before skid install at 15k miles.

Mine is getting changed not by choice. The rear differential was making a bad grinding noise recently with 39k milage on the car. Thankfully under warranty, but they said it would be 2 weeks until the part came in to replace it. It will be the 4th week waiting this Wednesday.

Changing diff fluid too frequently isn't going to harm your Jeep. Changing diff fluid too infrequently is.
