Debating debadging

Personally I'm not a fan of de-badging, whenever I see any de-badged car I assume the owner is embarrassed about the model/trim they have and doesn't want anyone else to know. But maybe that's just me.
Apart from that, I just like the way the badging looks on most cars, and particularly on Jeeps. Maybe I'm weird.

I’ve not ever debadged before. All three of mine don’t match from the factory though. It looks bad.

Yep, debadging looks like you bought a Toyota Corolla but you want people to think it's a Lexus IS. Or it looks like you got in an accident and had to have the panels repainted and tried to save $20 bucks by not replacing the decals.

If Jeep made all three match, I’d keep’em.

I hated that emblem placement on my JK, that and the silver Wrangler Sport decal came off My JK soon after it got home from the dealer. I thought silver looked terrible against Commando Green. My plan was to get two grille emblems in black, then put them at the bottom of the front fenders, but never got around to doing it.

At least it wasn't a Mitsubishi emblem. But who knows, the way Jeep ownership gets passed around like a party slut, it very well could be in a few years.

Willys licensed Mitsubishi to make Jeeps from the 50s, the deal lasted though the 90s.

OP I understand the frustration of mis-matched badging. If it was me I would either completely de-badge, or keep the Jeep and remove everything else.

I personally debadge every vehicle I own. It dosent matter what trim I have of your in the know you know what the vehicle is and what trim it has don’t need a badge to tell me.
On my rubicon I’m changing all the red out will have all new badges/decals the only thing factoryish I’ll have is the Jeep but I’m separating the letters and painting them to match my color scheme.

I removed the "Wrangler" side decals immediately. I've always hated that name since it came out in '87 ?

That was my first thought when I saw your post. If they were all black I think it would be better. Mine has Jeep and Wrangler, all black, it's not too bad. There's always model paint and a steady hand.
