Just looking to see who may have had this recall done. I am more curious of locations that now have the recall kit. I do not care to talk about the thoughts, contents, doing it, not doing it. Only if the parts are in your geographic location. USA and
Canada.
I got the message update available today. I did the over the air update, no problem. I hit the What New key and basically i would have to have the connected service subscription to see what this new update does. Thats pretty weak. The update must be pretty new. But to not tell the owner...
Thanks for the knowledgeable response. At the end of the day, I am in no rush to get the recall as mine is performing well. It is a touchy setup and not very forgiving but once you get the feel, itās fine. Good thing I learned how to drive a manual on a 1958 Massy Harris tractor whoās shift...
I just checked, yup I have 2! IF a trailer is loaded properly with ideal load placement, 2300 lbs is not bad. Couple that with over 45 years of manual driving skills in the Rocky Mountains, itās more than do-able. The max load stated is 2000 lbs total weight with unknown driving skills. I...
Has anybody seen or heard of someone actually seeking what the true fix is? I am thinking this will be easier once recalled assemblies are shipped to dealers to be installed in units that are already on the road. I do get a kick of the comments about how some people are pissed it shifts the...
Youāre probably right. After all the halted vehicles as of last Feb are caught up, they will probably just start shipping the updated to requesting dealers. Iām sure Iāll have to request it through a dealer via S/N Then once itās in, the dealer calls the customer. After someone cracks one...
True. But then why the long long wait. And why stop production if they are just dumping in the same clutch at the assembly line as they have been installing for years.
They are going to have to get the new re designed clutch shipped first. I assume the new assemblies will go to the plant for back orders first then dealers with standing inventory. Would be interested to know what dealers are telling customers that walk in today and want to order a factory...
Looking to give my seats a clean after a 6,000 km road trip. Nothing really bad on them, just sweat, a tomato stain, lots of dust, light beverage spill, usual stuff. Vacuum first obviously then what? Hot water, cold water? Heard powdered tide laundry soap and a tag. What is everyone...
I am Canadian and bought my Jeep 2021 second hand. The previous owner bought the extended warranty and oil tire package and it was transferred to me. Zero issues getting an oil change/ rotation while on my 2 month trip through the USA. Your dealer is 100% shady.
Possible. Gets me thinking to pick up 4 receiver pins like that and mount them to an old wooden structure at my friends site. Definitely would be easier to pack 4 brackets and lag bolts than a bunch of ABS pipe. Iām liking that idea.!
Thinking of setting them in a cheap air mattress that can deflate and a simple A frame. Something that takes next to no room to store. I already have a nice door storage system in the shop at home.
I have seen that and itās far more elaborate than I need for a real temp design. Thinking a couple pieces of ABS as itās thicker than PVC. I have to break this all down and pack it in my 2 door along with a months worth of gear and the stuff for my adventure bike.
Kinda looking for...
Dont go overboard with tons of different colour features like purple door hinges then bright yellow air vents with orange seat trim. Keep it simple colour wise. Pick a nice exterior colour and MAYBE 1 accent Color. My 2 cents
Heading off to my spot in the Kootenays Tuesday and I will be in my camping location for about a month. I will do day trips with jeep bike or foot. I am looking for a portable stand I can stick together or any ideas to store my doors for a day or 2 at the campsite. I will have my flat deck...
Good plan. I had 38ās on my other JK and donāt need that big of tire for a part time daily driver. 90% of the people responded when I asked about going up from the stock 33 on the rubicon said, you probably will want to go with bigger than 35ās later. 100X No! 35 is it! Funny thing about...
I have the 4.88 on my 6 speed Rubicon 2 door. Good functionality at 2500 ft where I live right up to the trails off Million dollar highway up at 12,000 ft. Running 34.4ā Dura Tracs. Still cruise at 80 mph fine. If youāre sure on a 35ā tire limit, 4.88 is the best set up.
