Since this is happening on panels and not limited to the hinge areas, I think pulling hinges is a waste of time. Plus panels are aluminum and you need proper paint.
Auto body work isn’t cheap. I guess out of warranty you have no choice but to pay up

I was told 8 business days.
Dropped mine off on July 25th. Still not done. to quote them "its way worse than we thought", they have stripped the whole jeep down and are respraying everything. Hopefully it'll be back in my possession this week. Now to make the tough decision on to trade it in or not.

I have an august 2021 build JL with no issues thus far. Would removing the hinges and painting the exposed metal prevent this issue? anything else?

I haven't heard of anyone having this issue within the first year. Mine is an Oct '21 build.

They stripped the paint off the entire Jeep?

From the pictures that I have seen, they stripped everything except the grill and fenders. I had corrosion on all 4 doors in multiple locations, the tailgate and the hood.

I'm trying to get them to send me progression photos, which i will share here if they do send them

Thanks,

Thats what I'm thinking.. just wow. I guess if they lemon'd it they would have to repaint it anyway but damn.. seems like they could at least recover some $$$.

Then again, on a jeep you're only talking about doors, hood and tailgate... not nearly as bad as a truck or automobile.

My jeep is a 2019 - ~52k miles. I'm located in Connecticut where the lemon law applies to vehicles out of commission 30 days or more (consecutive or not) within the first 24 months or 24,000 miles or in for service twice for a serious safety hazard. So my case wouldn't be applicable unfortunately.

Check your windshield frame as well. That's also aluminum.

Oh my goodness. I would be a wreck if that was me.
I am sorry you’re going through this.
