Considering this issue has been going on for over a decade(JK Wranglers), I doubt it will be magically fixed next year.
Did not realize the JKs had this problem. My 2015 didn't in the 4 years I had it and my daughter has my old 2010 and it does not have this issue and I don't think she ever washes it. ?

Same with my four JKs, never an issue with corrosion.

Something was changed then because my hinges on 2019 Rubicon are steel. Aluminum hinges to aluminum door skin should not cause an interaction. Possibly this is just very bad metal prep on yours?
The hinges on my 2022 Saraha are aluminum. A magnet sticks to the bolts, but no the hinges...

And you removed one at a time I’m assuming to not have to deal with realigning the door?
What about leaving the door closed and latched before you remove the hinges? Maybe have a second person hold the door?

Yes I corrected this it was the bolts not the hinges.

My last JK, 2 door Rubi, manual everything. Four years of road work in salt every winter and not a spot on it other than normal wear.
I'd have to imagine there are JL wranglers out there that also aren't experiencing bubbling?

I'm unfortunately not one of them :(

I think on the JKs the hinges were aluminum but the doors were steel, bada bing bada boom ... corrosion. The JLs are aluminum on aluminum but here we are. I have no idea what the root of the cause could be and apparently neither does Jeep since they can't fix this shit, lol.

This issue has been ongoing since the YJ. I had a '92 YJ I purchased new. Aluminum hinges and steel doors. Paint was flaking off the hinges after 2 years.

--EDIT--

Or am I thinking of the mirrors? Maybe it was the mirrors that had flaking paint. That was a long time ago...

There we go, the problem has been going on for 30 years?

What a joke.

Perhaps the mirrors? My 94 YJ had none of these issues

Great. Now my windshield frame has a bubble. Dealer took pics and will send in for FCA approval. Dealer didn't think the frame would be covered as its not mentioned in the warranty tsb literature and he didn't think it was aluminum.
Dropped it in finally on Wednesday. They will first sand it down and see if it can repaired and if not, order another frame, paint, and put back on. Let's see how long this takes. Long weekend coming up so expecting some delays.

Got my ‘20 JL back from shop and it’s perfect ! No problems at all, and said I have the corrosion warranty till 100K. So, if it happens again in a couple years, I can bring it back in.
