Hey, SH556JL. I just wanted to pop in and clarify my role here, as it seems there is some confusion. The social engagement team, comprised of myself and others; assists customers via social media who are currently working with a certified dealership toward repairs. We gather details and if necessary, get them in touch with a case manager that will then contact the dealer for the status on repairs or parts. We do not call customers or dealerships, since we are strictly social media based. I do hope that clears some things up. If you have more questions or need assistance with your specific concerns, I available via private message! Thanks!

And what about in my case? Had you explained I could call corporate or email with my VIN to get the info I was looking for, that would have solved everything. Yes, here I sit almost four months waiting for an answer that maybe never would come. Can you see our frustration?!

It’s not often I will say someones job should be re-evaluated, but this team here certainly does.

Does anyone have a dealer they recommend in southeastern MA or the RI area.
I am almost at the 3 year mark and have the bubbles on 3 of the doors.

I will jump in here on this. Kate and others from her team have helped me resolve a couple issue I was having. One was the axle locker issue, and the paint bubbling. Dealer was not real impressive. Jeep Cares jumped in and got me help. Ever since I have seen many improvements in the way I have been treated at the dealer. I hope it is across the board for others. I will also say my JLUR started experiencing bubbling for the second time in new areas. I got it in two weeks ago, I got a call today that it should be ready by next Tuesday. There is light at the end of my tunnel.. I hope I wont have to go back.

Hit or miss on WHO you talk to at Jeep cares. I've had good results and other times absolutely ZERO help.

I guess I get to join in this mess too. Noticed paint bubbles on the hinges which never got worse, but now my passenger rear door appears to be rusting at the bottom and getting worse. My dealer blew me off and never responded to my the service checkup I did last summer. Apparently they no longer have a body shop and just didn't bother to tell me anything until today. Called another dealer with a body shop and they refuse to work on any vehicles that they did not originally sell. Called the only other nearby dealer and they said they would help, but they would need me to call back in 2 months to try to schedule the visit to get into the queue. Which would then be 6 months to repair. This is embarrassingly bad service. I test drove a Bronco and didnt like it that much but I may be forced into buying it if Chrysler can't help in some way. I dont mind the wait if everyone is busy but this is such a run around.

Good luck my friend. So begins a long and painful journey with sub-par service from Stellantis. IF you decide to keep the Jeep, stay on top of them and make sure they fix it right.

Follow up on mine: Got it back today (two weeks and 3 days). Color match (mojito) on all four doors is good. All hinges are good at this point. I hope I don't see this come up a third time.

I know! My repaint/fix was an absolute nightmare. My Jeep still never looked factory after 3 resprays. I don't know how they can stay in business like this, but I guess consumers keep snapping up these wranglers as fast as they can make them.

Its shocking that the best car experience I have is owning a Ford Fusion for 7 years. They were ok but Chrysler is so horrible in comparison. I would also recommend avoiding Fiat as my wifes car is a 500 and is great.....but the dealer fucks everything up.

It’s been a fun trip for me thus far. I’ve built an entire timeline around my communications with one particular local dealership over this past year, who told me this would be covered under warranty, and even provided me the estimate that stated such, and then this dealership told me that “it would be over a year until they can get me in” so they advised I looked elsewhere, which I did, and then another dealership told me that it’s bullshit that the first dealership sent me to them and that they weren’t authorized to do Chrysler work to begin with but to go back to the original dealership and contact Chrysler. So I reached back out to the original dealership and they said that “I had to get it serviced at the dealership I bought it from”, which, mind you, is 200 miles away, since I moved a few years back. I eventually opened a case with Jeep and now the dealership is saying that this bubbling is from “outside influence” and not covered under warranty. Jeep has also been giving me the run around and is siding with the dealership and is relight me to bring it back to the dealership for “further diagnostics”, when it’s plainly obvious what the root cause of the issue is. I’ve never, ever, ever had a worse customer experience in my entire life. I can’t believe that a brand like Chrysler/Jeep, with as big of a footprint as they have, knowing that these issues are rampant on their JLs, won’t step in and take care of it. I’ve owned several Jeeps in my life and this will inevitably be the last. Attached is one such example of the bubbling.

The biggest issue is its so inconsistent from dealership to dealership. Opening a case doesn't seem to do anything because the only result I've gotten out of that is they always side with the dealership. At first they are like, we are hear to help and we will get this resolved!! Only to ultimately say its up to the dealership. The best case is to find a dealership that has a good body shop. Also one that it is willing to take photo's and submit the claim for you. Without that claim submitted Chrysler isn't going to do a thing.

Through all of this, there is one thing I don't understand. Maybe someone can explain it to me. Doesnt the dealership get reimbursed if the claim is approved by Stellantis? Why do they turn away warranty work?

I don't know for sure but I assume some dealerships don't want to be bothered with warranty work. Could be its a hassle for a dealership to submit the claims to get reimbursed. Also, if a dealership has already had to deal with the issue and their body shop sucks, that Jeep is just going to keep coming back over and over.
